About Me

TRAX:DJ MANAGEMENT:PR:MEDIA:LAUNCHING RADIO AND WEB MAGAZINE:
THREE COUNTRIES!…. THREE MONTHS!…WE HAVE TO STOP MEETING LIKE THIS !….WELCOME TO MASSIVE!

MASSIVE was conceived three days before Christmas 2002 through a chance encounter between its founder who’d been assigned to carry out a photo shoot of an Irish trance event and a top German DJ in a hotel corridor, due to a strange quirk of fate in which they had been given adjoining rooms and them backing into each other as they left their respective rooms at the same moment. It may not seem that strange, if they hadn’t first come across each other in a hotel lobby in Denmark by accident the previous month. In yet another turn of fate they met again a month later in Germany at a birthday party.
Rather than having them arrested as a possible stalker, him, impressed by their knowledge of clubbing in the UK and Germany and their love of trance, suggested they should become a DJ booker as they had an unique insight into both German and British scenes, a combination him and other German DJs needed. Before there was a chance for them to say no, he had convinced several DJs of the calibre of Marc van Linden and Sandra Flyn that this was the person who should represent them in the UK. MASSIVE was born .The little English booker from Germany as they were to become known suddenly had a new career, Artist Management.
It was a case of hit the ground running, but driven by a love of what they were doing, hard work and networking, plus an uncanny ability to work the industry ,within a year MASSIVE was seeing the likes of trance greats such as Dumonde and Cosmic Gate coming onto their books. MASSIVE branched out into promoting, running successful nights in London, combining home grown talent with top acts from Europe to grace their decks .MASSIVE introduced or reintroduced great artists to clubbers that adored them, launching them or kick starting their re-emergence onto the British scene .
MASSIVE started attacking the American market until it nearly all came to an end when MASSIVE’s founder became seriously ill, but determined to fight on MASSIVE carried on working maintaining a solid background profile.a sign of determination to not give in. MASSIVE’s artists continued their loyalty to their management. showing their constant support…. friendships and working relationships were maintained .

Thankfully now recovered she is back out there at the helm. MASSIVE as a company is staging a come back to rival this personal one by pushing itself into new territories. The booking agency is as solid as ever, proud of our artists and honoured to work with them, whether you recognise their names or they are one of our future heroes whose name you will be recognising soon. Now we look forward to the launch of MASSIVE’s record label which will be mixing fresh new talent with established artists and MASSIVE Radio.
MASSIVE acts as an effective PR company on top of its management role , its accumulated inside knowledge of the industry in four different countries gives it a cutting edge, This year we look forward to strengthening our new links with the Japanese and Asian markets and pushing into Latin America .Our management team is strong. MASSIVE prides itself on its close relationships with its artists and on understanding their needs… their focus is on performance and production… ours is on taking care of the mundane but necessary tasks to allow them to devote themselves to what they should be devoting themselves to…. Entertainment. To add to this MASSIVE media operates on all levels from video shoots and post production to producing websites and Epks specifically tailored to the needs of djs, producers labels, and other people involved in the music business.
We love what we do, we are good at what we do…. for us just for you to enjoy the music makes it worth it…. We certainly enjoy it ourselves
FEATURED ARTIST:
JBF:

The name might not be familiar, to many the artist behind it will be and to others it will be a refreshing new discovery. In a return to his pure trance roots when he collaborated with artists of the standing of Talla 2xlc, in JBF we have a new serious player on the trance scene …
Under former aliases he’s worked with Flutlicht and highly respected labels such as Tracid Traxxx and Blutonium. His career stretches back over ten years… his productions run into the hundreds. He’s played worldwide, at events such as Love parade and alongside the likes of Scot Project. So this is a force to be reckoned with.
In August 2006 he realised it was time to refocus his career … it was time to relaunch himself seriously onto the solo production front… The decision made, six months careful planning went into laying the foundations of becoming JBF.
The choice to play and produce under the name JBF… marks a renaissance, a rebirth … Although this is a new beginning, at the same time it’s JBF revisiting where he started. His first was love trance, it was and always remains trance.
Not that he ever forgot his roots, always a solid producer and DJ. He kept true to his background, anyone privileged to witness one of his trance sets can’t deny that … if he gives 110% behind the decks normally… he gives 120% for trance….
And those in the know realised that . In 2004/2005, one of London’s top events chose his trance mixes for their promotional CDs. Given out to members and on the nights, it was critical the music should speak for itself, no judgements, no prejudices it should be the sound that was all-important. These 60 minutes represented what they wanted to say about their club, and they had to be so hot people would beat down the doors to find out who was behind them. Designed to create stir and generate interest they did just that.
From the decision to refocus, it’s not taken long for the industry to realise JBF is a name and talent they want work with … you can look forward to the JBF (Angels and Devils) remix of Steve Morley’s Crossroads (Original Sin Mix). The debut release in July 2007 for a label owned by the management team whose artists include Dumonde and Cosmic Gate.
JBF is a fresh perspective and focus …. Don’t expect to hear any commercial attached to the JBF name. Get used to it…. JBF means business and the business is trance

JAY FROG

You could say the foundations for Jay’s musical vocation were laid when he took Flute and Xylophone lessons at an extremely tender age, before progressing to drums and electric guitar, which resulted in a thankfully brief flirtation with heavy metal. He ultimately decided trance/hard trance/techno was more his style, leading him to where he is today.

Early in his career, he met up with the producer of Turrican, Chris Huelsbeck at a trade fair, an encounter, which would lead to them partnering in the studio. Busy sampling and arranging anything that he could get his hands on, it wasnt long before his production work started taking off with remixes for the likes of Kosmonova, Ayla, Sash!, Yello, Sweetbox, La Bouche and Doug Laurent amongst others .

Having delivered several tracks under various Aliases, Pushin’ produced under his own name, gave him a hit on the Dance charts. Just a beginning , later productions were going to see him hit the major charts in a big way worldwide.

Not content with Djing and producing, Jay successfully branched out into radio. Familiar with the listeners of Sunshine Live, his feel for music has allowed him to seamlessly cross over to house and electro resulting in several weekly house oriented shows for Radio

It’s hard to believe Jay started Djing in a dancing school, which not surprisingly he left, as his techno/trance/hard trance style was not admired by the chart demanding punters. No problems of an unappreciative audience these days.

As well as being a favourite on the German club scene, he has played all over the world, including Taiwan, Japan, Africa, Russia, Dubai, the U.S, Ibiza, Ireland, Austria, Poland, and too many other European locations to mention.

2006, allowed him to shine with a remix of Blank and Jones’ Sound of Machines, which gained praise from Trance.nu, who described the Jay Frog Mix as “ a storming mix” …. “ a full-on, energetic tech-trancer” while 2007 delivered into his hands a chance to breath fresh life into Fedde Le Grande’s massive electro stormer, Hands up for Detroit on Kontor Records

Knowing how the trance, hard trance electro and house scene works Jay constantly strives to bring his unique style to a wider audience. An absolute crowd pleaser, he’s an ultimate showman always able to read and work a club, displaying a total connection with the audience. Definitely not a DJ you can ever accuse of playing to the decks and not the floor. There is never anything less than total commitment during his sets. Active and reactive he certainly has his finger on the pulse of the people and its normally driving the pulse rate upwards.

If 2006 saw Jay emerging onto new frontiers, bringing further success on top of that he has already enjoyed, now with his new production Hungry Animal ( Vincent Thomas and Space Frog remixes ) and the Jay Frog mix of Dumonde's Gun which has the support of Armin van Buuren and Judges, 2007 will undoubtedly see him breaking through into the major league.

Domink DE LEON and Jam X FKA DuMonde
Dominik de Leon aka De Leon. JamX and De Leon two of Germany's biggest DJs. Their production skills are up there with the world's best, collaborating with the likes of Tiesto and Push. DuMonde's hard techno trance sound can be heard across the entire globe, as their records continue to hit the top 40 worldwide.
The tune that perhaps they are most famed for, "Tomorrow", hit the top 10 Dance Charts in Germany shortly after the two teamed up. "Tomorrow" undoubtedly put DuMonde on the map, and the subsequent remix was hammered by every DJ from Paul Oakenfold to Judge Jules.
Their name as one of the strongest production teams on the scene was illustrated by the success of remixes of tracks such as 'Push', 'Universal Nation', the chart smashing, 'CRW', I Feel Love', and Alice Deejay's, 'Better Off Alone'.
DuMonde's DJ career was now to achieve the dizzy heights in the U.K that it had in Germany where they ranked alongside DJs such as Paul Van Dyk. They held one of the most prestigious residencies in the country at the world famous, 'Dorian Gray', as well as regular guest spots at 'God's Kitchen', in Birmingham, Gatecrasher in Sheffield,' And it wasnt just in the UK and Germany . Worldwide their reputation was spreading with gigs at Velfarre', in Tokyo and ´Glow´ in Washington D.C. To crown all these achievements they also took major dance events like, 'Nature One', Love Parade Berlin ' and 'Global Gathering in Birmingham' by storm.
In November 2001 JamX & De Leon finally founded their own label called "F8T Recordings". The first release Can U Dig It" (Jam X and Deleon) was released early 2002 and became a huge club hit all across Europe.
2006 F8T recordings saw a lot of exciting releases from DuMonde! In January I Feel You and May the release of Tomorrow 2006. followed by a production with Judge Jules.
The end of 2006 saw work commence on the eagerly awaited DuMonde album scheduled for release in 2007 which will include the hits from the previous decade like Tomorrow, See the light and Memory .
DuMonde have certainly set the pace for the future and look set to achieve new heights both on the performance and production fronts over the coming months. Coupled with their past success, with a new JamX and Deleon single Elektrisch, a forthcoming album featuring the best of the last ten years of Dumonde. Their new track Gun already acclaimed by Armin Van Buuren and Judge Jules plus a highly anticipated collaboration with Radio 1’s Judge Jules due in the near future. 2007 can only see them go from strength to strength.

Massive goes down under

Australia and New Zealand represent one of the most vibrant trance and hard trance scenes around. To reflect this Massive is making its presence felt there with a new office. We'd like to welcome on board Shane ( DJ 3PM) who'll being taking care of things there for us .

Statement from DuMonde

In what is a sad moment for us,we have decided to call an end to DuMonde. We could quote artistic differences, different directions, solo productions but we will spare you all the clichés.

We spent ten years at the top with DuMonde. With the Album a Decade we captured and highlighted a chapter in our joint career and have decided to make it a closure point for us .We feel that this makes a natural break, drawing a line under the success we achieved as one of the most respected trance acts on the scene. Gun due for release this month will be our final joint production as DuMonde, a track that is a strong and fitting end to a great ten years.

For 2008, both JamX and De Leon have a number of individual projects lined up. Some of the new solo works will embrace the feel of what has been done in the past while others will be moving in completely new and fresh directions.
We would like to thank all of you who supported us over the last ten years our loyal fans, the DJs and producers we worked with and now we are going to go into clichés, friends, family etc, but seriously to all of you, thanks we couldn’t have done it without you.

We hope you will enjoy the future with us as we embark on our solo projects and look forward to your continued support.

Juergen (JamX) and Dominik ( De Leon )

Update : Gun Release 10.12.2007

DUMONDE : GUN:

ORIGINAL MIX : JAY FROG 9MM REMIX : SPACE RAVEN REMIX

Release date 22.12.07 :exclusive download through trackitdown.net in conjunction with the Trance Awards

Hard hitting German duo DuMonde aka JamX & De Leon are one of the most enduring trance twosomes on the scene. Behind countless trance epics such as ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘God Music’ and the remix magic has turned many records into instant floorfillers – just cast your mind back to records like CRW – I Feel Love and Alice DJ – Better Off Alone.

Fast forward to the present and to what is to be the last ever DuMonde production and they haven’t lost any of their production power as they drop ‘Gun’ – a cutting edge, firing on all cylinders blast of modern hard trance music. Featuring an en-vogue indie rock style vocal by Aydo Abay from cult German rockers Blackmail this is an irresistible genre blending clash of dirty techno grooves, soaring trance melodies and stadium-rock riffing topped off with a searing anthemic vocal and a stinging acid kickback

Remix duties are covered by Jay Frog and Space Raven who give it the right treatment to crossover to fresh dancefloors. Jay Frog’s 9mm Remix turns it into a tough electro workout that still retains its lighters-in-the-air power while Space Raven pumps it up for the harder floors laying on the trance riffage and slamming in an epic breakdown.

Massive Trax is still a fledging label but backed by a wealth of musical knowledge and headed by battle-worn industry fighters who have worked with some of the toughest names in the dance business. ‘Gun’ is all set to be a huge hit for this fresh new label who are committed to not just bringing the best quality European trance music to the masses but also doing their bit for a good cause. As with every Massive release the profits from the sales of this record will go to charity, in this case helping fight breast and testicular cancer, causes close to both DuMonde and Massive

With backing from the likes of Judge Jules with plays on BBC Radio 1, Armin van Buuren on A State Of Trance and finding favour with artists as diverse as Sander van Doorn, Marcus Schössow and Mark Sherry, ‘Gun’ is a crossover smash fully loaded to ensure DuMonde end their ten year career with a bang.

I realised in August last year that it was time to refocus my career … my first love was trance and it remains trance…. It was time to relaunch myself seriously onto the solo production front…In the light of that I’ve decided to play and produce trance under the name JBF… this marks a new beginning for me a, renaissance, a rebirth … but at the same time it gives me a chance to return to where I started and do what makes me happy
