About Me

Sunday, 21st, june. How long have I been without writting anything here ?! Things have changed a lot. I'm still that lazy not to record anything I do. I'm even quite lazy composing some new shit. The band project I had slowly faded out, while never having really begun. Such a deception. But I started something new with a band that already have some experience and it seems it will do good. By the way, we are looking for a bass player, and maybe a keyboardist. So this is it. New band, new shit comming, and I hope I can record and upload some personnal stuff, but I must first upgrade my recording configuration because it's really hard to use for a beginner ! Later then.

April, 03rd 2008. I finally uploaded a song on myspace. I should have done this for months ! i'm quite scared of the quality because i had to "mix" it (i'm really not a sound tech ! ) on two computers, one having a poor sound but all the softwares... That thing apart, this is taken from a concept album i began to write last year and it talks about a crazy preature giving a sermon... hope you'll enjoy.I think i'll try to record some other stuff and put it online, without mixing it, like for Sweet Sermon. It doesn't have a very good sound but it's easier and quicker and hey ! that's metal ! :D

february, 05th 2008. It's been a few weeks now that the band is complete. We are : a drummer, a bass player and two guitarists, one being the vocalist. Rehearsals are sounding good and promissing. We're just covering songs at the moment. I'm a bit afraid of the time inspiration needs to come this time (i used to know it quicker !), but it seems to be slowly beginning... I'm very excited and very motivated to make something with this band, and play with my bro (lead guitare) and can't wait to have songs to be ready for getting on stage !

Hope to be able to make you soon hear a cover maybe, and i have still not losed all hope to have my old songs mixed to put them here online, even if i'd probably be ashamed of them now.

. . .

october, 22th 2007. I may have fount a bass player. Let's wait for some more news. If anybody knows a bass player in the region to play "prog" or something like this, please mail me.

October, 18th 2007 : my brother told me he wanted to try and join the band. This is gonna be great to play together ! Now let's start writting songs...

October, 11th 2007 : Let's erase this everything and start again from zero cause that's nearly what I'm doing in my entire life... *.

My name's Oz. I'm a french singer and guitarist from la Rochelle (17), France.
I haven't been playing in a band for a few (= " " " "few" " " ") months and i was beginning to fill the manque. But I've recently met a drummer (first rehearsal was today) and I hope we'll do some good music together (that I suppose we'll eventually put online). I'm quite enthusiastic. I hope my guitarist-brother will join us. But we'll still need a bass player... (this is kind of an annoucement :D ...)

I compose a lot. But i'm a bit "mind-twisted"... I'd like to see my music as a subtle mix of love and hate, anger and sweetness, reason and madness, joy and sadness, dreams and nightmares. I try to express that by using varied sounds and instruments, rythms, time signatures, by mixing powerful riffs and sweet ballads, "rock" and angry voices with church-sounding choirs etc.

I sing a lot. I love to ! I think I control my voice better than my guitar. I'm mostly inspired by Russell Allen, that is to say from low to (very) high pitch, from clear to "distorded"... I also sing a lot of stuff from Steven Tyler, Zack Stevens & Jon Oliva, Annihilator, Devin Townsend, Guillaume Bideau, Gary Cherone, Tom Englund, Mattias Eklundh... I try to improve my "growling" voice, my technique, independance from the guitar when I sing along, etc

I like to listen to a lot of music, and to go to concerts and clinics and to meet well-known or unknown musicians. Who cares ? Well, it's very rewarding ! And it gives you the opportunity to meet some very talented musicians (K. Loureiro, M. Livertout, M. Szuter, C. Godin, etc) and, apart from their skills, these people are so... NORMAL ! humble and fun. that's great !

I play on a LTD M1000 deluxe and an Epiphone 7 string Les Paul plugged into a Line 6 HD 147. Ask me why, I shall tell you that's because ESP and Gibson are much more expensive ! But I would lie ! I love my guitars ! The LTD was a choice, and the 7 string kind of a great opportunity !

*. WAW ! What an idea to erase it all ! It's late in the morning, and I'm writting and i don't even know what I'm writting. And I f*cking hate this fu*king presentation at least as much as the previous one ! But that's the deal, unless I put some music online (which I should have done for so many years !!! ARGH !), my bio will have to speak for me :s :P

And of course, all of my myspace friends (or else, they wouldn't be so !) within who : Klone, Plug In, and others I'll let you discover.

I listen to a lot of classical music and opera too.
