The Treehouse Studio

Hello, Im Jeff Ocheltree and Im 30 years young born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and I still reside there today where I have been happily married to my wife Shauna for the past six years. Some of my musical influences range from Sting, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Rush, Yes, The Police, 311, The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keith Urban, the list could go on and on. I started tapping and banging on pots and pans around the age of 6, got my first drum kit around the age of 10 and it all exploded from then on. I always participated in the school choir in grade school and started playing with the school jazz and marching bands in middle school on into high school. I played in several bands through out high school where I also learned to play guitar, bass and a little piano. In 2002 I started a Christian fusion rock group called "D.tailZ" and played many of the local churches as well as local clubs and bars where we opened for bands like Switchfoot, Pillar, Earthsuit and Justified. D.tailZ also made it on several different independent Christian music compilations. In late 2004 I hooked up with Billy Smiley formerly of the Christian Rock band "Whiteheart" where I started doing session work as a drummer. Since then I have recorded drums for artists like Rebecca St. James, Scott Wesley Brown, Symphony in Red, Gary Brading and Katie Wilson. I still do session work for artists and last year decided to build my own business called "Treehouse Recording Studios" where I can help other artists get their music recorded as well as do session work from home.
