Band Members: The song 'Holy Earth' on this site is a very old demo (30 years) that was salvaged from a sole surviving cassette. Its a song I wrote in West Cork, Ireland in 1978. New songs from me and my band mates have now come with release of my new solo album - 'Rainbow Empire'. The Rainbow Empire is open to all outsiders tired of the present state of world and Universal politics. It grew out of the Rainbow Tribe and Rainbow gatherings and has elements of Jesse Jackson's 'rainbow coalition and the rainbow of nations. But The Rainbow Empire' is a galactic federation involving mystic beings from higher planets as well as humans and spanning the Universe. Its beyond a simple Rainbow nation! All outsiders, are welcome on board. But none of them should think they own the 'Rainbow Empire'. The Rainbow Empire is vast and open to everyone across the Universe who wants an actual love revolution - with radical change, agricultural reform and spiritual reform on a galactic scale.
Influences: Incredible String Band, Dylan, Beatles, Planxty, Jai Uttal
Sounds Like: The new Martin solo album - 'Rainbow Empire' is designed to take you on an incredible galactic journey. You will only get one chance to hear the songs for the first time, in full quality, and in their entirety. For this reason I have decided not to put samples up on my space of any of the songs on the new album. The album is a whole collection of songs which has a total effect which I do not want to spoil for you by your having already heard part of it here in low mp3 quality and without the lyrics to read - as they are on the cd cover. Now the mass media music scene is full to the brim with all kinds of crap - often well produced, well played and sung etc etc - with tons of money and well paid promotion people behind it - but from what I've seen almost always absolutely no content. By which I mean no new original melodies and nothing new to say. I'm very sick of hearing so called music being promoted by business men and nothing changes. Or worse still the continual regurgitation and over done glorification of 60's greats and many many modern uggly sisters whilst meanwhile Cindarella (me) is left alone in the basement! Thats just not fair is it? They've got Scissorheart Sisters & endless LOUD GIRLS and BRITAINS GOT FUK ALL TALENT - "but they ainta got Cindarella (me) - life don't mean a thing" - Bob Dylan said that!
