Connection, also known as, The Rutley Brothers are a gospel singing group from the metro-Detroit area (Bloomfield, Auburn Hills, and Grand Blanc). This group consists of five (5) biological brothers that write, compose, and sing. They are the proud sons of Pastor & Mrs. Rosezell Rutley. Their parents are the founders of Berea Family Tabernacle of Faith Church in Pontiac, MI, at which the Rutley Brothers are very active. Ryan is the oldest of the Rutley Brothers and a recent Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) graduate. He writes, arranges, produces, and plays the keyboard from his heart. Ryan is the husband of Kelly and the father of baby Rayn Destiny Rutley. Darick is the second eldest of the brothers. He is a certified carpenter and has spent his first four years after high school building houses. He and his wife, Stephanie, have one daughter, Madisen Chanel Rutley. Darick also writes, arranges, produce, and plays the bass guitar. He serves as one of the associate pastors in the ministry and is the choir president and one of the worship leaders. Jason is the middle brother. Is the drummer at Berea and one of the praise and worship leaders and is working on the trumpet and keys. He is an skilled artist and has pursued a degree in graphic arts at Baker College and Oakland Community. Jason also is an up and coming writer, arranger and composer. Vincent is the fourth of the brothers whom also writes and arranges music from his heart to God. Vincent is an very skillful and anointed choir director and an awesome worship leader at his home church, and accompanies the audio and video ministries"Spoo", as he is affectionately called, is an experience actor and has many accomplishments in the area of theatre including his induction into the National Thespian Society, a nationally recognized honor held by many famous actors. He is currently writing a gospel staged play called "The Blood Is on Your Hands". Byron, who is obviously the youngest brother,oversees the audio/video ministries and is aspiring writer as well. He's currently seeking a degree for production. Byron is also a talented football player. Behind the number 20 jersey, "Juice" is known for being a leader and a lethal weapon on the teams he has played for. Byron plays the drums and is surprisingly the Bass singer in the group. The Rutley Brothers have been singing as a group for nearly 15 years. “After growing up listening to groups such as The Winans, Commissioned, and Take 6, we fell in love with the melody of harmonic structures and we lip sang to all of their songs and tried to imitate them all the timeâ€, says Ryan. “We have great appreciation towards our harmony and ministry of music. Instead of entertaining people, we’d prefer to minister to their heartsâ€. These brothers like to categorize their music in all Christian music categories: Urban, Contemporary, Traditional, and Praise & Worship. Connection "The Rutley Brothers" have shared platforms with Marvin Sapp, Marcus Cole, Mitchell Jones, Kierra "Ki Ki" Sheard, Dorinda-Clark Cole, Marvin "Cocoanut" Winans, and too many other gospe artists to name. Their years of music ministry combined with enjoying other artists have made them versatile. The ultimate goal of "Connection" is to draw souls to Christ and to greatly affect people of all kinds with their music ministry. They are connected to God, each other, and their ministry.
