My Interests

I also have a son but he says please don't request him as a friend unless you know him: (click pic) He says: "No one over 20 should have a Myspace" (Oops - he turned 20 in September)
WHAT COUNTS ....If you're looking for meaning in your life - Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." John 14:6.... ....If you're looking for peace, He said "Come to Me, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

I'd like to meet:

Michael Dolan and Tommy White - my best friends from Kindergarten in Rahway, NJ, 1963. No idea where they are now. Also, Joni Eareckson Tada because of her living a full life as a quadruplegic in a wheelchair. Also, anybody who wants to talk about God, life, school, or foreign languages, preferably w/o 4ltr words. And by the way, I don't usually repost bulletins, OK?
Oh, another thing - even if I love you dearly, if you have obscenities as part of your display name, you're off my top friends, just b/c I don't want that on my front page.
You Are 82% New Jersey! MC is definitely Jersey. MC is most likely from this great state, fits right in. Odds are, MC loves being Jersey!

Heroes:

Jesus of course - Elisabeth Eliot - Joni Eareckson - MY HUSBAND GILBERT - my late dad R.K. Gorgas - and his mother (my grandma) "Maggie Mae" (she picked that name for herself - it's really just Margaret)

Racism again - I'm changing the date to put it on top

Once again I have been accused of racism by someone with no clue as to what I stand for.  This is how I feel about racism:  it makes me sick and it's stupid.  Race means nothing, but c...

Give me liberty&. Confessions of a US citizen

I am guilty of having been born in the U.S.A. I admit it. I am also guilty of being thankful for certain freedoms which are guaranteed, at least in principle, by the Bill of Rights, the first ten ame...

Urban Mission - The Grace House, Framingham, MA

Every year we try to take a short trip for our anniversary. This year we wanted to go to Boston, but didn't have anybody to stay with the kids in April, so we kept putting it off. My niece Michelle t...

To all the beautiful girls I know:

And I know a lot of them, starting with my beautiful daughters, my nieces, my step-granddaughters, my students, and all their born-2B-beautiful friends.  You're beautiful, just the way you are.&n...

Cinco de mayo - and the concept of invasion

In 1862 France "invaded" Mexico, and was sent straight back across the Atlantic by the troops of General Zaragoza in the Battle of Puebla. Supposedly the U.S. "invaded" Mexico a while back as well, bu...

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson - Imus's Alter-Egos

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are self-serving opportunists.  I do not believe they pursue an altruistic cause.  You'd think they were God's emissaries, and Imus is from the underworld. I ha...

Imus - What a Jerk! Are you?

..> ..> Imus - What a Jerk! Are you? I've been seeing this guy's face on the news as being in some kind of hot water about some racist remark on his show, but I haven't been all that interested bec...

Bikinis, shots, and orphans - Spring Break

Those of us on an academic schedule, be it at the university level or public school (I'm both), look forward to spring break. I mean, we're pushing ourselves from the start of the semester, or ma...

Racism is alive and well in Shadetown - Repost from last summer

I am reposting this because today I was accused - again - by somebody with no clue as to where I'm coming from - of being 'racist'.  This is because I use videos in class to raise awareness of cu...

Jesus is NOT the reason for this season

No, I am not an atheist, and yes, I do celebrate Christmas.  I do take time at Christmas to remember the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as why He came to earth.  But I really f...
