He has played jazz, fusion, Latin, blues and folk styles for more ensembles and years than he cares to remember. Over the past four years he has been playing many gigs with the blues rock/fusion quintet 'Short Notice' led by 1960's and 1970's session bass guru Peter Barkle (http://www.myspace.com/shorternotice). 2006 was dominated by sessions for jazz/folk singer/songwriter Delia Spiers 'one of the most soulful, touching and talented performers around' (http://www.myspace.com/deliaspiers). Recently he has been playing as a duet and in a band context with jazz singer, the accomplished and very, very delightful Fiona Springer (http://www.myspace.com/fionasinger) and in recent history (2008) also briefly helped establish budding Americana vocalist and songwriter Alexandria 'Lexie' Green (http://www.myspace.com/lexiegreen).Over the past few months (2009) he has been guesting with jazz ensemble the Graham Tranfield Qunitet trading solos with two (soprano/alto and tenor) saxophonists; Richard Gentle and Graham Tranfield himself.A chance meeting with hiphop percussionist, rapper and raggae singer g2k2k (Hugh Walcott) has produced a strong musical coalition (see pics). 'G' has recently guested with the many incarnations listed above.
