The music is high-testosterone hillbilly, roots, funk, and delta blues. John Ferguson (Hair of the Dog, Burnin Truck, Rockin Bones) is pretty much 'the idea man' for this gig. Fergy fronts the band, calls the tunes, sings and doubles on fiddle and guitar. Also playing are Chris Tinsley on bass (8Bus, Follow for Now), Dave Duncan on Les Paul (New Orleans’ R. Scully, Countradelic, Rockin' Bones), Nathan McMillian on drums and a host a regular and irregular characters including Phiilip"stop sign" Hart on vocals, Lonesome Dave on banjo and vocals, Ethan Davidson on lead guitar and Evan Frayer on accordion, vocals and offering washboard lessons to eligible young ladies from audience.

More about us
The sound is drunk and disorderly, brilliant and extra-centric, assault and battery....itching and burning, scalded dogs chasing skinned cats around charded trees - offending our wives and giving our kids ammo to use in making fun of us.
Each of the players have long musical histories, extensive vocabularies, chops out the ass, taste and humor. Fergy and Dave have been guitar brothers since high school with touring credits sharing the bill with The Black Crows. Chris Tinsley is just all that. A great talent... Follow for Now with David Ryan Harris. Awesome players and very cool dudes. Kearney's been playing jazz, honkey tonk bar brawling, backing up singer-songwriters, and working out with cajuns. Ferguson and Kearney and have been playing with Hair of the Dog (voted Best of Atlanta in 2005) for over ten years.
So that's where we've been. Check out where we're going.
