AfrosoulAlyoonAlyoon, de son vrai nom Alioune Cissé est originaire du Sénégal. Avec un père diplomate travaillant pour l'ONU, Alyoon passe son enfance entre le Rwanda, la Somalie, Le Soudan, le Zaïre et bien d'autres...
Bercé par des rythmes africains et amoureux de la musique, il grandit en écoutant et en s'inspirant d'artistes tels que Tracy Chapman, Otis Redding, Ray Charles ou encore Bob Marley pour la profondeur de ses textes.
Après avoir monté plusieurs groupes passant du rock au gospel et avoir enregistré un premier album très éclectique, Alyoon y puise l'expérience nècessaire pour trouver sa voix , "Un croisement entre Otis Redding et Youssou N'Dour"(le quotidien l'Est Républicain), "Un brin poète,un brin rêveur il nous entaine dans un univers multiple forcément différent"(magazine Cité Black),"Le chanteur nous invite dans son univers aux couleurs pop-blues et africaines qui nous renvoient aux réalités de ce monde"(Planète Jeune numéro 77), à mi-chemin entre l'Afrique et l'Occident, de la vraie variété internationale.
Ses chansons racontent différents moments de sa vie , il est inspiré par son quotidien ,chaque titre ayant sa propre humeur et sa couleur. C'est ainsi que dans le morceau "Dilemme" il raconte sa vision de la vie nocturne lorsqu'il travaillait au café concert du comédien Mouss Diouf, également un titre intitulé"Mélinda" pour sa fille sénégalo-sicilienne de trois ans, ou encore "Faire de nos vies des romans" marquant la séparation d'avec sa femme .
Dans ses textes Alyoon a un regard très critique sur la politique et parle d'amour avec une objectivité qui renvoie le public au "déjà vécu" .
Son public est, au-delà de sa voix si particulière , touché par ses discours à propos de ses amours déçus et déchus ou de son objectivité concernant la vie politique.
En collaborant avec son guitariste SPY (Pierre-Yves Sizaret) depuis 1997 il apprend l'importance des mélodies et des textes qui ,ensemble, doivent donner l'émotion juste et toucher un public qui vient surtout pour l'échange avant les prouesses vocales; et sa technique unique, s' affirme au fur et à mesure que se poursuivent les différentes scènes et enregistrements en studio.
Il est à la fois le "sad song" et le "happy song"(deux titres phares d'Otis Redding) quand il nous émeut avec sa chanson "Nomades" ou nous entraîne avec "Aminata" qui est une adaptation de "Stand by me" en Wolof (dialecte sénégalais).
Et c'est avec beaucoup de présence et de passion qu'il entraîne le public dans son univers multicolore et chaleureux... Fermez juste les yeux et écoutez son appel qui ne manquera pas de vous émouvoir...

Alyoon,which is a derivative of his real name Alioune Cissé come originally from Senegal.
With his father working as a diplomat for the UN, Alyoon Spent his childhood moving from Rwanda to Somalia,Sudan,Zaire and a host of other countries.
Captivated by the African rhythms and in love with the music, he grew up listening to and inspired by artists such as Bob Marley,Otis Redding and Ray Charles, and impressed by the depth of Tracy Chapman's lyrics.
Having put together a number of groups ranging from rock to gospel and recording an initial very eclectic album, Alyoon gained the experience he needed to discover his own voice,that of “Afro-Soul”.
“Across between Otis Redding and Youssou N'dour”(L'est daily newspaper),”Part poet,part dreamer,he leads us into a completely different multiple universe”(Cite Black Magazine), “The singer invites us to enter his universe with its pop-blues and African influences that remind us of the realities of this world”(Planète Jeune), half way between Africa and the western world, a genuinely international mix.
His songs recall various periods in his life;he finds inspirations in his daily life,which each title his own humour and influences despite the presence of distinctly Afro sounds: So in “Dilemma” he gives his vision of night life, in “Melinda” he sings about his three years old Senegalese -Sicilian daughter and “faire de nos vies des romans”(“Turn our lives into novels”) depicts his separation with his wife.
In his lyrics Alyoon offers a highly critical view of politics and speaks of love with an objectivity that his audience can identify with. In addition to his very distinctive voice,his audience is moved by his evocation of lost or disappointed love and his objective attitude to political life.
Through his association with the guitarist SPY(Sizaret Pierre-Yves) since 1997 he has learned the importance of lyrics and melodies that,together,conjure up the perfect emotion and move an audience that has come more for the exchange than to experience vocal ability; and his unique technique gradually asserts itself during his various performances and studio recording sessions.
He combines “Sad song”with “happy song”(two seminal works by Otis Redding) When he moves us with his song “Nomads” or carries us away with “Aminata” an adaptation of “Stand by me” sung in wolof, a Senegalese dialect.
With great presence and passion he draws his audience into his colorful and vibrant world... Close your eyes tightly and listen to the call of his “Afro-Soul” which cannot fail to move you...
