Scale of a Bloody Ruin

The Band was established out of the idea of Christoph Gallner and Stephan Kutscher, who wanted to bang their heads to some metalsounds. They knew each other from school and a former band.In 2004 the two guys started searching for a drummer and though it seemed difficult, they quickly found Stefan Taubenböck. He blew them away with his drum skills and his very special jokes. So they started writing songs and played one show as “No Type”. At this show they met Matthias Seidl. As he joined a rehearsal and satisfied them with his brutal licks, he became the lead-guitar player. They kept on writing songs in this constellation and also created their new name: Scale of a Bloody Ruin.An important turning point was finishing the song “Downstairs” in 2005. This song affected their whole style. 2005 also presented them many shows in their region and a demo-cd. But when they finished the recordings it was really disappointing for the 4 guys because the soundquality wasn..t acceptable.So in 2006 they went back to their homestudio and started recording a EP. With modern recordingtechniques and increased recording-skills they wanted to produce some asskicking music. It took them the whole year until they finished the recordings.In february 2007, the band won a newcomer contest (contest-x). This victory contained a professinal studio production. After the four guys graduated the Abitur, they started songwriting for the record. They also played some Shows in 2007 but the most time they were practising and thinking of ideas for the first album. So in November/December they went to the studio and started the recordings. After this record, these guys are working on new songs again.We hope to see you on one of our shows and just remember: We Are The Ruin! This video shows you how our Studio looked like.
