Pure Funk (www.purefunk.com.au) is a professional dance school focusing mainly on urban dance styles such as Hip Hop, Funk/Jazz, Locking, Waving and Breakdance. We provide classes ranging between Beginner and Advanced, with the advanced class being the performing group. This group have the opportunity to perform Dance routines at various fundraiser functions, Ausdance events, competitions and dance concerts.Pure Funk launched in 2004 and is run by Kirsten Semmler a professional dancer and choreographer. Kirsten has been dancing since the age of seven representing South
Australia in National Calisthenics Championships. She has danced and performed at numerous dance events, competitions and functions within Australia, London and America.She participated and performed in the 2006 Intensive Summer Hip Hop workshop at Debbie Allens Dance Academy LA, and continues to travel more throughout America.Kirsten is devoted in helping dance education in Primary and Secondary Schools through Ausdance SA and provides a dance program for the Active After-school community for children. She continues to update her skills and knowledge through international Hip Hop dance workshops and helps promote Hip Hop workshops in Adelaide through RPJ Promotions.Presently we are choreographing and dancing for the aspiring Adelaide singer/pop star Mia Vassallo...
