About Me

TheSamurai's Jukebox
People that know me well would say that I am a fun guy, with a good sense of humor. I am a very driven person. I work as a customer service representative for an organization that shall remain nameless. (I don't want to deal with the hate mail.) I love all kinds of sports including: Baseball (New York Yankees), Football (New York Giants, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Green Bay Packers...I love football), Hockey (Boston Bruins), Tennis (Andre Agassi and John McEnroe), Wrestling (My all-time favorite is Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Chris Jericho, Steve Austin and the Undertaker from the WWE; Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Low-Ki from TNA; Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong from ROH; Cheerleader Melissa, MsChif, Lacey, Allison Danger, Sarah Stock, Mercedes Martinez and Rebecca Knox in SHIMMER), MMA (Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Quinton Jackson, Wanderlei Silva, Gina Carrano, Jon Fitch and Forrest Griffin). I enjoy listening to EBM/Future Pop...if you do too, let's talk. My favorite band is by far VNV Nation. I enjoy playing Poker, particularly Texas Hold 'em. If you'd like to play sometime, let me know. My personal mantra is "Life is Short, Bite Hard and Leave Teeth Marks." What I mean is that whatever you do, do it well and leave an impression that will last.
I borrowed this from my friend, Melody Gardot as I think it really sums things up pretty well and really echoes my sentiments:
'I'm not usually very good at explaining myself so in this case, this is where things get tough. Disability is a funny word because the very nature of the word is (lacking-ability). While in one sense this is true, would this word not apply to all people as all people are in some way enabled when it comes to certain tasks? For instance, think of how many people you know who can paint well. Of those people who cannot paint at all, then are they not "disabled" as painters? The very word is self-demoting.' - Melody Gardot
I refuse to refer to myself in a self-demoting manner no matter what anyone else says or thinks.
What type of Swordsman are you?
You are a Samurai. You have trained the majority of your life. You are honorable, you follow your word. You spare no one once in combat, but that is expected, for your opponent would do the same to you. You use a two-handed katana.

Which Characteristic From the Samurai Code Matches You Best?
(You may find out your besttrait)
Duty and Loyalty: You serve your purposeand do what you must do. People would consider you someone to rely on, and one who keeps his word when you give it.
::What kind of Samurai you are?::
Yamato Spirit You are Yamato Spirit. You are the most elder and the most natural samurai. Elder rules and only your own experience is your beacon in this dangerous world. You think globally. Local deals are not important for you. You work very hard to gather experience. You can command people. You can tell them the truth. You can call them and they will obey and follow you in any battle. Actually you are more than samurai.Take this quiz

Heroes:

Rohan Harris and Mark Jackson of VNV Nation - Their music and lyrics have inspired me in ways that are very hard to describe. In times of joy, they are my soundtrack. In times of despair, they bring me comfort.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin - I see a lot of myself in him with his attitude.
Bret "The Hitman" Hart - Bret always competed as a very driven performer. He didn't just want to win, he always wanted to be the best. His tenacity is what really inspires me.
Kurt Angle - Kurt Angle embodies competitive spirit and intensity. Watching him inspires me to want to do things better myself.
Raven - He is my all-time favorite wrestling personality. His character represents a loner and a dark misunderstood person. I can really relate to him at times.
Don Mattingly - The word quit doesn't exist in Mattingly's dictionary. It doesn't exist in mine either thanks to him. Don Mattingly always competed with the same determination whether the Yankees were winning by five or losing by ten.
Paul O'Neill - George Steinbrenner dubbed him "The Warrior" and I see myself a lot in Paul O'Neill. He was a very intense competitor and at times his worst critic.
Mariano Rivera - Everyone needs a goto guy. He is someone that always comes through when you need him and he is always cool under pressure.
Christopher Reeve - Christopher Reeve once played Superman in movies. After his accident, he became Superman in real life. I cannot begin to tell you how much I admired him.
John Walsh - John Walsh turned his personal tragedy into a way that he can reach out an help others. In my opinion, he is the very definition of what it means to be a hero.
Not pictured: Ray Bourque, Jet Li, Gordon Liu, Chuck Norris, Muhammad Ali, Angelina Jolie.
I really admire anyone who can overcome overwhelming odds to succeed.
