I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Rebel with a cause, or two ... or twenty.
Work as the Director of Advocacy for the Disabilities Network of NYC , curate the monthly disTHIS! Film Series showcasing films which depict disability through a whole new lens. No heroism expected, no handkerchief required. More details at the link below.
I'm also a contributing editor for the always spectacular Satya Magazine , a regular blogger for Ragged Edge Online , advisor to the League of Humane Voters NYC , spokesperson for In Defense of Animals , producer for The Largest Minority radio show, Buddhist , avid film buff, theatre enthusiast, music lover, naptaker and dancer , but not necessarily in that order (or, lord knows, at the same time).
I like to laugh and occasionally do so at times which others find inappropriate. Sorry about that.
I have a fondness for chocolate chip cookies and animals with missing limbs.
Have been called other things from time to time, but my mother is on the internet now and may read this, so I'll keep it clean.
Published articles, speaking engagements, embarrassing photos and more information than you'd ever wanna know can be found at: PosterBrat.com

See what THE NEW YORKER MAGAZINE has to say about the goings-on THIS WEEKEND at DANCE NEW AMSTERDAM and “SPLICE: UNRAVELED!” Be the first to see NEW works prior to our Spring season in NYC and upcoming premiere in New Mexico...!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Open-minded whack-jobs who give a damn. Folks who deep down inside might sometimes be afraid (although they'd NEVER admit it) to laugh, cry or shake things up, but somehow manage through either compulsion, responsibility or mania to do so anyway. People who make me laugh, think and occasionally piss me off ... and can put up with me attempting to do the same.

People who appreciate this...

Imagine if the roles were reversed. You've got a job interview, but suddenly you're in the minority. A tale worthy of the "Twilight Zone" with a disability twist .
