Bands of the Round Table

Bands promoted by Bands

About Me

Bands of the Round Table was founded in 2007 after a certain band called "Merlin Engine" played a show for a certain promoter (who shall remain nameless) and got totally ripped off. After that lead guitar player Troy and lead singer Karl formed BOTRT and the rest is history.
We will promote every show. Which includes designing posters & handbills, advertising in local publications.
The bands make what they deserve to play hard and provide quality musical entertainment. What bands deserve is 100% split of the door. Nothing less. No more playing for little or no money being hosed by the middle man.
And remember Bands of the Round Table takes no money for promoting these shows, this is all done with the true spirit of indie music in Vancouver at heart. So to all bands...."Do your best to promote your show, and you will be rewarded with exposure to new people and a handful of cash at the end of the night!!!"
Every band that appears in the Friends List is a member of the "Bands of the Round Table" no more, no less.
So if your not in a band that plays with this group, you can become a member by messaging us here and getting on the bill for an upcoming show.
This MySpace will also only spin tunes by "Bands of the Round Table" Bands. And trust us when we say we have no hidden motives or agenda. We as founders are all tired of working hard playing music and getting shafted.
We have successfully promoted shows and made money. When we say we, we mean the bands that played that night. It involves a little hard work but always pays off in the end.
**Important**
Bands playing shows are responsible for distributing handbills and/or posters which we will design and deliver via email or myspace. We have come to learn that if every member of every band on the bill brings 10 people out, the house will be full.
We have had great success with this approach so far.
If you are in a band and are interested in this. Send us a message.

Special thanks to Paul Hermann who has played Station Square 5 times with "A Sheep at the Wheel" (2), "Karma Project" (1), "Chris Ghidoni" (1), and "Scenery in Stereo" (1).

He promoted the shows, brought in the people and played like a pro.
Our hats are off to you Mr. Paul Hermann. Thank you.

Quotes from bands about BOTRT

"You don't have to step over junkies. It's only $6.00. The promotions behind the show is treating everyone right. Awesome venue .....and hey they aren't ripping bands off. Come to a wicked show!!!"

"I'm Cole from Axiom and can't get a decent show or make any money. The last show I played I had number of friends come. The promoter charged them seven bucks each and almost made my girlfriend pay to get in because I didn't put her on the guestlist. I didn't make a dime and the bar was paying them anyway...I'm Fuckin sick of this. I've been thinking of doing this myself and already have others interested. I totally think your right screw those guys what the hell do they do make phone calls? A couple of posters that they put up in the bar? It's a joke and the posters suck. Anyway I really want in how do I get to bookings?"
