Strings Attached

About Me

If you’re looking for blues, bluegrass and beyond, then Strings Attached is the band for you. An acoustic-based music group, Strings Attached is comprised of four friends from the Broken Arrow area looking to have a good time and make good music. Approximately six years ago, a retired music enthusiast opened a little music store in an old Victorian-style house on Main Street in BA. “Bert” has since passed on, but his weekly jam sessions are pleasant memories to those pickers who attended. That’s where Dennis Whitley, Frank Lott, John Morgan and Cory Johnson met and realized they had compatible musical interests. “At the big jam sessions where we met, I didn’t know if we were the cream rising to the top or the dregs settling to the bottom,” said one of the members. Instead of just classic country and bluegrass--which they love--they wanted to encompass a wide variety of music types, old and new, played with a smooth acoustic style and vocal harmonies. The jamming was so much fun, it eventually evolved into a band, and the performing group Strings Attached was born.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
