About Me
H.E.A.R.T
H. HEALING
If we start with the premise that what we see in the world around us is a reflection of how we are feeling inside, it quickly becomes apparent that, in order to heal the world, we must first heal ourselves and each other.
While physical health
and healing is important, it is the emotional pain we each suffer and inflict on one another that is at the heart of most (if not all) of the world's problems. The purpose of the H.E.A.R.T. Center to increase peace and effect healing by bringing together people with varying beliefs, focuses and passions, who share a common purpose: the healing of the world's collective heart.
E. EDUCATION
Education is critical to healing. It is hard to love what we do not understand. We tend to value only that about which we have learned. We seek most ardently to preserve, to cherish and to heal that which we care about.
H.E.A.R.T.'s goal in the area of education is to provide information about a variety of classes, workshops, retreats and other educational opportunities in the mind/body/spirit arena.
A. ART
Creativity is our birthright. It is inherent in our nature; a gift as well as a reflection of our Creator.
It has been said that work is love made visible. If this is true, then it follows that art is joy made tangible. We seek to create, foster, and showcase what might be termed inspriational or therapeautic creativity, i.e. art that glorifies Spirit, honors creation and celebrates humanity.
We hope to provide information about workshops, lessons and exhibits and performances in a variety of disciplines including music, dance, visual and performing arts, art therapy, poetry, journaling, holistic fiction, etc.
R. RENEWAL
To everything there is a season. Just as we all need the chance to heal, to learn, to create, so too do we need an opportunity to rest, to regenerate, to renew. It can be as simple as a soothing cup of tea or as elaborate as a spiritual retreat. One of the purposes of the virtual sanctuary we are creating here is to provide those opportunities in the form of meditations, ceremonies and the chance to connect with one another.
T. TRANSFORMATION
Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, we are in a state of transformation, of taking the next step along our evolutionary path. The world most of us currently inhabit is in a state of fear. Our best hope--perhaps our only hope--for healing is to learn more about ourselves and each other; to creatively engage with one another to inspire, uplift and celebrate both our commonality and our glorious diversity; and to provide each other with respite.
By so doing, we hope to be the change we seek, to aid the world in its transformation.
Individually, we each have the potential to effect a lasting difference. Together, we can change the world.
