THE SCOURGE OF MEDUSA, a band born and raised in modesto california, has been creating music they love, and playing it on the local circuit since mid 2007. TSOM takes a unique approach when writing music for what tends to be a typically monotonous scene(musically at least).
With an intense passion for extreme, heavy and technical death metal with a slight hardcore twist, TSOM rounds it all off with the one two punch of their own unique breed. Writing new music constantly, TSOM has shown themselves as constantly evolving. Focusing heavily on vocal patterns and rhythmic grooves while keeping things heavy when they need to be, not to mention having lyrical content worthy of text book status, is what TSOM is all about - all while keeping it professional and maintaining level heads.
TSOM entered PUS Cavern studio in sacramento and recorded their first three track E.P (ON SALE NOW!).
TSOM has made it through several minor line up changes, proving adaptability and drive that most other bands simply lack.
Quickly gaining a strong following in and around their hometown of Modesto, California, TSOM became a staple in the Northern California scene, soon seeing themselves on flyers with ELYSIA, WARRIORS,
and THE GHOST INSIDE.
The Scourge of Medusa continues to progress musically as well as lyrically to produce the best possible sound, while performing with high intensity during live performances. Expect many new things to come from TSOM in 2008.
