JOEL CAROLE * Drums (has a passion for new stamps)Building MINDASYLUM !MINDASYLUM was constructed in Des Moines, Iowa in December 2006 under its former name Lifeblood. Lifeblood was a three-piece band lead by Sean, Doran, and Joel. After a few years of playing locally the band decided it was time to open up new opportunities and bring in a front man with heavy broad range vocals and a talent for writing fresh material. Fate stepped in over the Holiday Season 2006! Matt Wiggins, a former Naval Officer, Actor, and Adventurer from California, was brought on board. The members of the band hit it off in stellar fashion and began to perform live in Des Moines 1 month after Matt’s arrival! Immediate feedback was positive and overwhelming! With fresh material, a signature sound, and a charismatic new front man, the band decided to break with the old and chisel a place in the music world under a new and exciting name! MINDASYLUM!!!!MINDASYLUM is a heavy rock/metal band with a differentiating sound. They have been likened to: Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Pantera, Danzig, Metallica, Dio, and others. The broad range of sounds that MINDASYLUM has been compared to, together with their own signature vocals and musical range, further solidifies their ability to transcend the common and create a broad fan base from a variety of age groups and backgroundsMINDASYLUM has been blazing the local scene and is continuing to work smart creating fresh metal that will invigorate and capture the public’s attention on a massive scale. In May 2007 the members of MINDASYLUM teamed with a local studio to record their first demo. The tracks have attracted tremendous attention with screams for more. The band is planning to hit the studio once again this fall to finish the debut CD for a SPRING 2008 release date. STAY TUNED !!Recently MINDASYLUM has been activley involed in charity events in Des Moines! WE are very proud to have the opportunity to develop relationships with the community on a level beyond themselves! The members of MINDASYLUM believes it is a privileged to create music and live the rock and roll lifestyle on any level, but even more important, they desire to use their talent and certain success to give back to the community and to those in need!With the pulse and energy MINDASYLUM creates in performances, the list of fans (a.k.a. INMATES) growing, the web page blazing, local show dates mounting, their debuted CD looming, service to the community already underway and their ability to build strong relationships, MINDASYLUM is the package deal.
