MyGen Profile Generator--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -- I was lucky enough to grow up in Red River New Mexico. I was even more fortunate to have a bedroom above the stage of the Red Onion Tavern.- It's not possible to recall all of the nights I went to sleep listening to the music of Bill and Bonnie Hearne, Tish Hinojosa, Michael Martin Murphy and Michael Hearne.Those nights have changed my life in ways I haven't yet discovered. It was a small tavern, with a small stage, glasses and bottles clinking, loud boisterous laughter, beautiful music cutting through the cigarette smoke that was hanging two feet below the ceiling, tourists sitting, standing, listening, locals taking it all in and taking it for granted all at the same time, and me, sitting in the corner, soaking it up like a sponge, and hoping nobody noticed it was way past my bed time.Fastforward sixteen years, it's the same little tavern, ("Chubbies" now), the smells are the same, the stage is still small, the same names are still carved into the same old bar, the smoke still lingers, but this time I'm the one playing.Fastforward to 2007, I'm back in Texas, back Home, working on material for my 3rd cd, everythings going great, it's a constant battle of hurry up and wait, But you never know when things will come full circle.I hope you folks enjoy the tunes, feel free to let me know what you think.Jim-
