About Me

Created with mySpace Profile EditorJUNE 6th - Oregon Burrito is my favorite burrito ever
Today I went on a run, and felt great afterwards. If I can keep it up, maybe I can lose a little bit of the belly that I gained since I turned 21. The only problem about running is that later in the day I get extremely hungry, and the only thing that sounds good is an Oregon Burrito. That damn Oregon Burrito is gonna keep my belly from leaving. Damn Oregon Burrito, but it is sooo good.
MY DAY MAY 17th 2007

If you are reading this, hopefully you can get some encouragement. So, today was a unique day for me. A great day so far, hopefully it will continue this way. First, a couple funny things:
Last night I was playing frisbee golf and I was standing on the steps on Johnson hall and hucked the frisbee toward a statue. It was dark and a dude rode out of the shadows on a bike. We stood there and Sean said, "ten bucks if it hits the guy on the bike." Watching quietly, the biker rides right in the path of the frisbee and it nails his collar bone. Then he cussed me out. Then we laughed, after apologizing ofcourse. He was in the shadows when I threw it. It hit him so hard. I felt bad until he started cursing his face off at me.
Next funny thing: I saw Rick Dancer twice today.
This is what inspired me today though. I felt like I should share it. Somehow I always find myself having conversations with extemely strange and unique, often homeless individuals outside of the Young Life house. I was talking on the phone and a guy was riding by on a bike and dropped a piece a clothing. I shouted out and told him he dropped something. He skids to a stop and shouts, "Thanks Brotha!" Next thing I find myself sitting on the sidewalk with him hearing his life story. Recently he just finished a jail sentence of 18 months. He definitely seemed to be either drunk or on drugs when I was talking to him. I don't want to type out his entire life story, basically I saw and extremely lost and broken person. I wanted to make sure to take advantage of the conversation and the fact that in this moment this other human being was pouring their life out. I listened for a long time, shared a little bit of my life and prayed, attempting to offer myself to God in that moment, that he might use me. In the end, we eventually started to talk about God a little bit and it became more evident to me that with patience and simply offering ourselves that God can work Himself into any situation. Eric is the name of the guy I was talking to. In the end Eric said to me that he believes God planned out us having that conversation. It was amazing for me to see him say that. By the end of the hour that I talked with him he seemed almost like a different person, almost like he was overtaken by joy. I have no idea what God will do this encounter. I don't even know that Eric will ultimately be affected by it. I do know that after talking with Eric that I had experienced God and that he did too. I learned that when we can be free to allow ourselves to be an offering to God at any given moment, and to take advantage of our daily encounters with anyone and everyone, that God will work in mysterious ways. Whether it's something as small as someone experiencing and feeling God for a brief moment in their hard and painful life, or becoming a completely changed and different person. It's kinda funny, Ben Thomas said that he saw Eric dancing on the sidewalk after we were done talking. So I don't really know exactly what happend. Hope it was encouraging.
My Day: MAY 18th
Hahahaha, I saw Rick Dancer twice today too and he talked to me this time.
More Stuff: And Joey Sucks at VIDEO GAMES
Hoping to change peoples lives even an ounce as much as God can change mine.
I believe that there is a lot of sadness in our world, and that sadness comes from a need to be loved. I believe that Christ loves all.
One time I chugged a whole liter of Code Red Mountain Dew in front of a bunch of Alaskans.
I ran out of the ocean in the skimpiest shorts during a sunset as a crowd of people watched.
80% of the time that I play against Joey in video games, I come out on top.
Sometimes when I play Scrabble I take over an hour on one word. Only one time really.
I have a cat named Fascle, but I let it rome free.

Batman Begins Review

I give Batman Begins an 8/10. Great movie. Review:  Batman is a flying demon with a strong resemblence to Satan.  Do not let children under 13 watch this film.
