Music has always been the driving force in me. Having nothing to do with pride, i find it hard to do things other than the way that they've evolved in me. Much respect to them, but my purpose is not to revive Coltrane or Charlie Parker or Marvin Gaye or Sam Cooke. It is to present myself as I am. My music is influenced by openness. Trodding the same roads that the forefathers of music tread, I am portraying a style that lives in me. A style that reverences jazz, gospel, r&b and soul but has its own marinade. This style is a direct source of pain, happiness, strength, understanding, birth, life and death. I call it captivity soul because its allows you to be mentally and aurally stolen away from the falsehoods of life and the idiosyncrasies of man only to be refreshed with truth.
