This is the hard part; what to say?? I am a retired person and loving it, although the money sucks!! I have had an interesting life I quess. I started riding horses at about 4 months old. My dad was a horseman. I spent several years showing Pinto and Paint on local and national circuit. I was very sucessful; winning several local awards; also was 7th in the nation for amateur owner all around in 1986. I had the most amazing horse back then. He had been abused terribly before I purchased him. But he was a gifted, smart and loving animal who would give you everything he had in the ring. I also showed a half Arabian mare who was a real character. There were 2 young ladies who traveled with me. They were a huge help; I couldn't have had the success I did without them. I consider them to be the daughters I never had. Now both are happy, successful women, with great families. One has been blessed with 2 beautiful children, who she allows me to share love with.I had to quit riding after a hip injury in 1986. I have to admit, I miss it. But, I have a new passion - cycling. I have a Penniger trike that is like riding a lazyboy. It is such a joy to just get out and ride. I have been on two cycling trips with Woman Tours. The first traveled the Outer Banks of NC, for 6 days. It was about 500 miles total; about 300 cycling. I saw some amazing historical places. My favorite place was Orcacoke Island. It truly is a small piece of paradise. My second trip was to Zion and Grand Canyon national parks, by way of Las Vegas. What was I thinking!! Oh I loved it. The scenery was beautiful, but the altitude was a killer. Most distressing was being kicked out of Zion because the trike was too wide!! Of course, they took my money and let me ride in about 6 miles before they quite rudely informed me of this!! Not a good time!!I would recommed Woman Tours for any woman wanting a bike trip. They are wonderful folks.Since I have retired, I have been spending more time on my spirituality. I worked 25 years in a negative and degrading enviroment. It is such a relief to be gone from that, but I still have a few issues to work through!!I am a technically disabled person. I have cerebral palsy; probably from birth trama, but possibly from shaken baby, since my birth mother slapped me around for the first month before giving me up for adoption. Good ridence!!I am a graduate of Butler University in 1980. I had a double major in psychology and sociology. I had planned to go into rehabilition psychology. But life got in the way of grad school.I am a member of the Central Indiana Boxer club. I share my life with a 3 year old, rescued Boxer girl. She and I can be seen out with the bike 3 or 4 times a week. A tired Boxer is a happy Boxer!!I am currently studing Paganism and Wicca, trying to find my path. It has so far been an exciting and interesting journey.
