I am here for Friends

About Me

It's difficult to big yourself up without sounding a twat. A friend described me as the 'Harlequin' (she was quite 'arty', so go figure). When I asked for an explanation, she described me as "Fun-loving, witty and care-free... sort of like Peter-Pan. You take people as they are and don't judge them. All that's on the surface, but you have hidden depths... oh and you're a tart." (or words to that effect). There are other interpretations of course, but not as complimentary, so I'm keeping quiet about them. Could be worse though, she could have said I reminded her of Eeyore.
So, me huh? Well, I'm easy-going and laid-back. I tend to laugh at life, in fact I probably laugh too much and mostly at the wrong time. I believe we get just the one shot at life, no second chances, no reincarnation. So enjoy it while you got it.
There isn't much I'm really serious about... my job, my kids and my relationships, but these are things that are also meant to be enjoyed. I quit a job with money in return for contentment, happiness and the joy of helping others... I now look forwards to Monday morning as much as I look forward to Friday afternoon.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Fun-lovin, intelligent, unconventional, 'liberal' and open minded people of either sex. People with real lives and interests away from the PC. My current friends on here are all of the above or family, so if you think you would fit in, let me know.

I'm not primarily looking for 'that certain someone' but should she seem to appear, I'm obviously not going to turn her away.

You should keep in touch too, I don't keep people on my friends list who have nothing to say.

I'd like to have met some of these 60's icons....

How Scooters Are Made:-

Who I'd not like to meet:
Miserable, unintelligent, conventional, dogmatic, authoritarian and narrow minded people of either sex. People without real lives and interests away from the PC. Bigots, Fascists, Racists and other -ists. Religious fundamentalists (of any religion)... Other random stuff:

The Evolution of Man

Homeland Security Live Alert

When did it all go shit?

Over time I've noticed that things are certainly different now from when I was younger. Maybe it was because I was younger that things seemed ok and I didn't look at things as critically as I do now. ...
