/////////////////////////////////////////////////////Kent Thompson began his career in a band with Borne’s Cameron Tapp in Tasmania and touring the surf beaches of Australia with Seventh Heaven. Kent moved to Sydney to study music at the Sydney Conservatorium in 1993. Here he wrote and recorded tracks with Sony artist (INXS backing singer) Lisa Maxwell and released the album “Morsels†with his band The Cooks in 1998.Kent moved to London in 1999 and became involved with a short-lived band 8JETZ who, at their peak, supported top Australian acts Grinspoon and Tommy Emmanuel. Kent bought a Mac computer in ‘02 and the self-made album "Project" (2004) was the result. After some promising industry reviews and indie label releases (on Criminal Records, UK and Acne Records, USA), Kent realized he missed the energy of working with a live band. He formed the Kent Thompson Band and recorded album "FILE 2.0" (2006).After winning the Green Card lottery and selling his soul to the devil like Robert Johnson, Kent is now based in New York. He released his first instrumental release – “The Liquid Love Sessions†in 2008.On latest album AcousDICK, Kent and the Liquid Love Band revisit some of their favorite jazz standards.//////////////////////////////////////////////////
