Blind Unit started off as progressive metal-project including members Kalle, Jacob and Niklas K. After a couple of months the project had grown to a full band with a pair of songs. The new members included Niklas "Rille" O, Johan and former member Jill.In spring 2007 the band performed their first gigs, including a festival in Poland and part-taking in Sweden’s largest music-competition for youths, Musik Direkt, where they won the price for best rockband.
Shortly after finishing Musik Direkt Blind Unit announced that their keyboardist Jill had left the band. During the summer Blind Unit played a couple of festivalgigs including some of Sweden’s largest pop- and rock-acts. They also found a new keyboardist, Elis.During the autumn Blind Unit focused on writing new material and began to work on their first demo. The demo proved to be a very long process with the bandmembers struggling to manage both schoolwork and recordings.The development of the band’s sound wasn’t really what Johan expected, so in early 2008 he decided to leave Blind Unit.
A couple of months later Blind Unit found a new spirit, William Blom that at first were a temporary solution. But after a brief time he decided to be "blind" at full time!In spring 2009 Blind Unit have been working hard on a new demo, wich is aimed for release during the summer. real editor
