I'll give pretty much anything a chance. Here's what's in my CD case:Meat Loaf, Shinedown, Cowboy Bebop OST, U2, Angels and Airwaves, Fall Out Boy, Elton John, Last Samurai OST, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, POD, Straylight Run, Battlestar Galactica OST, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Linkin Park, Eagles, Queen, The Darkness, The Killers, Panic! At the Disco, Disney Broadway Scores, LostprophetsI love rock, I was raised on electric guitar riffs, and very few things still have the same effect on me. I also adore good or interesting piano and violin music, though piano more. Harmonica and saxaphone also rank up there. Also, I greatly enjoy country music that is up to my standards.
Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Wayne's World, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Most All Disney Movies, Lord of the Rings, Ace Ventura, Hitchhiker's GuideHere's the deal: I love movies. They tie with video games and rank just under books for me. However, I'm not up to real task on this section. I own over 700 DVDs. Just for sake's sake, "Star Wars" in it's original, unaltered 1977 form is my absolute favorite movie ever, if for no other reason than it helped me actually talk to a crush for the first time, and was a wonderful point of common interest between my first love and I.
Red Dwarf, Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, House, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy, Angel, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Futurama, Various AnimeThings I like tend to get cancelled, or I pick up on them after they've been off the air. Most of the ones listed up there are the DVDs I own, which hammer them in as 'Favorites'- either I want to watch them repeatedly, or want to show them to other people.
The Bible, The Dark Tower Series, Harry Potter, Hitchhiker's Guide Series, The Pendragon Adventures, World at War Series, Huck Finn, The Inheritance Series, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, Star Wars Novels, Battletech Novels, Goosebumps, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Wild at Heart, Epic, Various Comics and Manga, Most All "Youth Fiction"Again, kind of touch-and-go in this spot, with a few exceptions. I read "all the damn time", to quote one of the guys who worked at the theater with me. Paperbacks in my back pocket? Hardcovers with finger stains on the bindings? Reading in class, at work, even at the pool? Check three- hat trick. The Bible, in addition to being the Truth as I see it, is way more interesting than most people realize. Beyond that, The Dark Tower series outstrips everything. Go read The Gunslinger. Now.
