Dj, producer, promoter, victualler – for the last years Aleksey Romeo’s career changes in different ways and turns to new sides.It became usual to see epithets like «successful» and «the most» in Mass Media talking about Romeo – he is successful project, the most expensive, the most performing, the most stylish, the most influential and etc.Business and creative activity in his home city St.Petersburg doesn’t prevent him of having busy tour graphic.Nowadays Romeo regular appears on stage more then in hundred cities all over the world, from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka and from St.Petersburg to Las-Vegas.When he has intervals between his tours, Romeo releases new mixes, singles, remixes for famous performers. Remixes for Kirkorov, «Slivki», «Zara» became very popular. At the time of cooperation with Zara, Romeo was producing her and he released new joint track «Dorogi Net» - version for the hit of 90’s «Not over yet» by Grace. At the same time he released his own independent single «Ti u menya odna». In that way Romeo brings to fashion idea of making new versions of old popular compositions. Some years later republished song «Ti u menya odna», hited the top mark of the most famous Russian charts. However as time goes by interest to songs of the past fades down and Romeo decided to release more relevant compositions and singles. At 2005 starts new wave of making his own tracks. Such as "One night in Isnambul", «Zakroi glaza». His track «Ne ya» was produced as maxi-single and instantly became one of the most selling Russian records in its category.Romeo thinks that beginning of his musical tastes started from music of 80’s and 90’s. Big influence on future show-man was exerted by ?? Hammer, Depeche Mode and others numerous electronic projects, which appeared after legendary Acid-summer of 1987 in Ibiza.Further acquaintance with dance electronic music took place at the epochal «Planetarii», where impression on Aleksey was made by hard-trance. At the same time, he found interesting music that was popularized by club «Mama», «Tonnel» and commercial clubs «Candyman» and «Port».At the day time Aleksey studied at the privileged school with profound study of Hindi and English, he was practicing in vocal and was keen on ballroom dancing, exotic and Indian dancing.When Romeo was at the 10th grade he began working at the first dance radio station «Record» as an advertising agent, where he got his first business skills. Almost at the same time he showed interest to the profession of Dj. And because of it he decided to go to the school that just appeared for masters of vinyl, but he was disappointed in teaching and didn’t finish it. However, (as Romeo said), experience that he got from that place gave him a lot of useful contacts and confidence to move independently on his own way.The brand «Romeo» was born at the opening of the club «Greshniki» at the 25th of January 1997. There was his first performance.After it, was performance with the star of 90’s Gala in the club Alcatraz, and numerous of performances at the Port, Scala, CandyMan (La Plage). Exactly at this period of time Romeo became constant resident in many clubs of St.Petersburg and also member of «Radio Record» festivals that were taking place at the major grounds of the city. After graduating from school Aleksey began thinking about University degree. Technical knowledge of working with hardware he got in SPbGUKiT (St.Petersburg State University of Cinema and Television), and also he finished INGECON, where he learned about business, as the Manager at the enterprise.Because of the university, he got less time to participate at the club and mass dance projects, so he started to be more selective in which performances he should take part.Most likely because of the selectivity with which he is choosing places where to perform, Romeo changed his taste in music. After it he began to popularize intellectual dance music. Under influence of Dj Nil, Romeo was fascinated by the ideas of disco-house.Performances in his new style were taking place at the major Russian electronic music festivals for that moment, such as DJ's Parade and Dance Planet.At the beginning of 2000, Romeo turned to be one of the most stylish Djs, popularizing intellectual dance music. Promoters noticed that status of Romeo performances increased so much. At that moment Aleksey became a resident of the club «Absinth» and after it became an art-director of the first close club called «Absinth». Unique format of the club «just for close people», special format of music, special status public and regular original exclusive parties. All of it took Romeo status to the one of the glamorous and expensive Djs in Russia.In 2003 Aleksey established his own sound recording label «Natural Selection», which he used for himself too. Later this label became one of the biggest studios in St.Petersburg in NS Recordings format. Releases of young Djs were producing at the «Natural Selection», at the same time with such famous guru like Katrin Vesna, Grad. Year later Romeo tried himself at the restaurant business. He opened cafe-bar-club - Barbie’s Day & Night. It is small private place with interesting interior that was created by popular St.Petersburg designers, with limited amount of club cards and strict face-control system. It almost repeated the history of legendary Absinth club, with the same format « just for close people». Barbie’s became one of the popular places among stylish and prosperity youth of the both capitals.For the last years Aleksey regular take part as sound-producer at the fashion shows of such famous people like Tatiana Parfenova. Besides it, Dj Romeo got Prize of FC Awards (with support of international channel Fashion TV) in nomination «The most Stylish Dj».In 2005 Romeo started close cooperation with Moscow club «Fabrique» and became one of the most demanded Djs in Moscow.At the same year Romeo tried himself as promoter and arranged the first party Natural Selection with collaboration of legendary Dj Ian Pooley, and some months later he brought popular soloist David Guetta - Chris Willis to St.Petersburg.Year later promotion and restaurant activity of Dj Romeo joined together. Aleksey opened beach club project called Nikki – Beach on the Krestovsky Ostrov and organized some number of theme series parties where international stars of dance stage took part - Barbara Tucker, Johny Kelvin, Jerry Roperro, D.Ramirez. In 2006 Romeo became the guest of the major conference WMC in Miami, where he was special Russian representative, and a year later – the first Russian Dj, that was officially announced in the ceremony of closing, he was playing at warm up before Paul Oakenfold.In 2007 Romeo opened art-promo agency and began organizing private events and also consulting in advertisement and show-business questions. In 2007 Aleksey at the same place, in Krestovsky Ostrov, opened next beach-club project PeSoK. He got agreement in realization parties with participation of Supafly Inc., Hed Kandi, Steve Edwards, Chris Lake. The sponsor of the Romeo projects were such famous brands, as Kent, Foster's, Russian Standard and others.This day Romeo is one of the demanded Djs in regions and he is one of the most expensive among his Russian colleagues. He is considered to be one of the three best Djs in Russia on various official surveys. But Aleksey is saying that this is just the beginning...MySpace Layouts
