Skytlez, born Jae Lewis, May 20th in Brooklyn, New York, began rappin at the age of 7. She started out as a typical child rapper writing lyrics about staying in school and out of trouble. Her inspiration "Da Brat""That was first female rapper I ever heard." - SkytlezAfter persuing the rap game she gave it a break at age 9. She then statred singing."My Junior year in high school I got invovled in a freestyle battle with some other students on campus and blew them away. Up until then I never spit a bar, and they were amazed that I was good at it. From then on, it was goin down."She was dubbed the name Skytlez after she went to a meeting to team run a modeling department of an entertrainment label called "The Fifth Element""I was in the backroom listening to some beats made in the Music department and began freestylin,. In my hand I had a pack of skittles, which is my favorite candy, and the artists of the label came in and heard me. From then on I was "The Fifth Element's 1st Lady" Jeff Jones dubbed me skytlez because whenever he saw me, that's what I was eating."Now Skytlez is currently signed under M.H.C. Entertainment and working closesly on projects with Paradigmn Productions while running her own label Game Flow Music. Sounds Like: A raw mixture of East and West Coast pioneers all wrapped into one package. The first thought from every fan is "Damn, she's a true spitter!" Skytlez writes her own lyrics and freestyles like she not from this universe. My best advice to anybody who challenges her in lyrics, is to do ya best and don't fall off, kuz if you do, she's bound to blaze you.
