Hi, welcome to our profile. It started out as Scott’s myspace, but I pirated it and it became “our†myspace. He told me I am the prolific one; thus, I had to write about us. That is his way of saying I talk too much! First of all we are fun-loving Christians. He is our friend, loves us, and has blessed us greatly. We all have our scars, but through Christ they will heal. Our biggest challenge is to listen to only His voice. We want our lives to be lead by Christ, but we are far from perfect.
Scott and I met in high school, dated for 6 years, and have been married for almost 16 years (boy, dear you are old!). We are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Ashlyn and Brett. We were moved to the Toledo area 4 years ago, kicking and screaming the whole way. Little did we know what God had in store for us.
The first thing we found in Perrysburg was a karate school. We had to find something to help our son focus extra energy! After watching from the sidelines, we knew that we all had to do it. The positive atmosphere in the school was addictive. Thus, the entire family is now in karate. We love it! We cannot imagine life without our karate school. The instructors are wonderful, yes Jon, we mean you! Our son is now a black belt and the rest of us will be testing for our black belts in the spring. Karate has brought us closer together, made us physically stronger, and helped us find the church God meant for us.
God has blessed our family with an incredible church and pastor. We both serve in the children’s ministry at Cornerstone Church. I am also involved in the Wedding Ministry. Our children help in their classrooms. Brett is an usher and Ashlyn does praise and worship.
Scott has worked for Dana for 14 years. He is in the IT department. He recently went to Mexico for a month for work. Scott enjoys designing web pages. He is very handy around the house and I seem to have a never ending honey-do list for him.
I was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. Now I am a substitute teacher. The hours are great for moms of busy kids! In my spare time I love to read, quilt, bake, decorate cakes, and think of things to do around the house (right dear?). I love to have company, so call us to come on over for a home cooked meal!
We are always open to new experiences. Just don’t expect me to get on a bike, long story. Karate was never on the to-do list, and look at us now! I want to visit the 7 wonders of the world. Scott doesn’t know this, yet, so we will see how long it takes him to find out. I also want to visit every state in the United States! I guess this means we need to start scheduling some vacations! Don’t worry, we will bring you back post cards. Have a Blessed Life.
