Where do you start....college I guess, that's where things started to roll. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001 and shortly after my graduation day I departed to live in the Caribbean in the Cayman Islands for three years. It was the greatest choice I've ever made. I put myself in a situation where I knew no one, and had to start from scratch. Think about that. When's the last time you've done that? For me, it was kindergarten prior to that. I worked, built my own business, and played very (very) hard. In September of 2004 the island was hit by Hurricane Ivan, a category 5 hurricane. It changed life as I knew it. Through all of the events that happened, I always found the positive and maintained my ability to be me. That's the most important part. You have to be you (unless you're a serial killer, then you should be in prison). After the hurricane we took up shop in Newport, Rhode Island for a year and continued the new media agency I had built as well as working for a start up firm. Early in 2006 we relocated to Connecticut where I took on a new challenge in corporate America for a major U.S. corporation. My strong entrepreneurial roots constantly tug at my shoulders, and I am consumed by three or four projects at any given time. I love life. I truly live to it the fullest and I hope I never stop learning. Most of all, I hope I never settle on what is.
