About Me

A professional singer who started singing since the age of 9, Michelle Meyer, has performed live concerts and recorded in multiple genres: jazz, pop, country, folk, rock, contemporary, blues, funk, gospel and even classical arias in the languages of English, French, German and Italian. Michelle has sung The National Anthem with the U.S. Marines for the opening of State Fairs. In November of 2005, with her Fairfield County CT based jazz group, "Nouveau Jazz", she and her colleagues, Douglas Canal and Todd Schneider, took the place of the traditional annual private performance of Peter Yarrow of "Peter, Paul & Mary" to perform for the Directors & Board of Trustees of PBS/WLIW in East Meadow, Long Island. She was a STAR 99.9 Idol Finalist in the 2007 Summer Competition and you might've caught a glimpse of her in Oprah Winfrey's made for television premier of "One More Day" written by Mitch Album (the same author who wrote "The Five People You Meet in Heaven")among other films such as "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II" , "The Afterschool Movie" and "Righteous Kill" w/5oCent, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro...Vocally, Michelle has guest performed with such national talents as: Mark Forrest - “The Irish Tenor” - www.markforrest.com (Mark has performed for the honorable and the late: Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa, many current Presidents, Kings and Heads of State) Murali Coryell - “The Blues Man” - www.muralicoryell.com (“B.B. King calls him a star and Marshall Chess agrees...”)Michelle Meyer was professionally trained in theory and piano performance by the late Mrs. Wassung of Westport, CT. She was also professionally trained in voice by Interlochen School of Music vocal instructor Joy Yinger and a myriad of Broadway and professional songwriting talent such as Ellen Hanley and Bill Hall of “The Hall Family Singers” Westport, CT. Michelle started composing original material at the age of 13. Hired as a professional musical director at the young age of 15 for a private theater company, “Fantacini Theater” she was credited of helping to launch the lead child actress onwards to the New York Broadway stage.DRC Music Entertainment is one of her latest professional endeavors and successful current accomplishments and was founded in Easton, CT in April of 2003. Under her supervision as President, the company has acquired and is currently, as of 2006/2007 season, acquiring some of the best independent composers, performing and recording artists available nationwide and internationally. The company's talent roster which can be viewed www.DRCMusicENT.com is a testament to the desire of professional performing and recording artists who feel comfortable being represented by their fellow peers in the industry. Michelle Meyer is firmly re-establishing herself and defining herself as a professional singer, songwriter, film actress, & vocal and piano instructor/agent/musical director & CEO in her own right. In addition, Michelle is a trained visual artist and she has recently acquired her Professional Degree in Visual Communications and is just starting to get her toes wet by doing some background work in feature films.found this travel layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com Now playing: Michelle Meyer
