HigherChakraSupplyI have always believed in unseen energies, I felt them most of my life. I also have always been intregued by the energy of stones for as long as I can remember. I believe there is great healing powers in stones and crystal, and other earth objects, such as metals, wood, and shells, and other items that come from mother earth. This is my reason for not using manade material in my jewelry such as plastic and such. I try and select the best material I can find I started making jewelry about 5 years ago, while pregnant with my spiritually gifted son. I was near miscarriage, so was not doing much in the way of moving around much, that's when the bead bug hit me. I started learning all that I could about beading, and made some beautiful beaded pieces with seed beads, and sometimes small stones. I kept saying that one day I wanted to make jewelry for other people, to sell, but had no idea how that would come about. I also knew that the peices I was making at the time, although very nice, took many hours to complete, and I would have to get such a high dollar to make anything for my time, that I wondered if I actually was just dreaming a pipe dream. I continued to make jewelry for myself, but kept being drawn to gemstones and other natural items. I couldn't really use them the way I had been making jewelry, and my desire to sit and sew beads for hours dwindled as the responsibility of being a new mother grew. My dream however didn't die. The last few years, I did a lot of studying on techniques to make jewelry, and started buying gemstones and sterling wire to wrap them, pearls, and such. Last year I sold my first peice, with my newer, more me, style. I love working with the gemstones, as I work it's like watching a child grow, each piece unique, and with a life of it's own. I have a studio that I work in now, and I try to create a calm and serene atmosphere. If I'm not feeling a piece, I go on to another one, or walk away, until the piece speaks to me. I also benifit from making gemstone jewelry, as the energy of the stones flows into me while I work with them. Oftentimes I will take my stones to the beach and clense them in the water, to get out any residual negative energy that might be there. I do this mostly with new stones that have been touched by many people to give them kind of a clean slate. I want my peices to give their wearers the highest energy the stone can produce. I hope that the love I put into each piece will vibrate into the stones, and through the wearer. That is the reason for the name Higher Chakra Jewelry.
