The Heatscores

About Me

These leather clad guitar slingers were one of the hottest acts in town circa 1997-2001. In that time they played over 100 shows with tons of great bands like Porksword, The Mants, Nashville Pussy, Martyr Bones, The Portmans, The Sadies, The Smalls, and many more. They also got a chance to play with some of their main influences and idols, like Huevos Rancheros, No Means No, Man… or Astro-man?, The Bomboras, Deadbolt, and The Smugglers. Before changing their name to The Heatscores in 1999, they released some demos and a full length album, “Burst Into Flames”, as The Handsome Devils. Conflicts with other bands using that name began to arise as the band began to become better known internationally, releasing several tracks on compilation albums all over the world, as well as vinyl releases of their albums in Germany. You can check out the first of the "Surf & Destroy" series on their label, 100% Wild Records, which contains a ton of early demos and live tracks recorded at Zombie's Pizza Parlor! Also, stay tuned in 2008 for Surf & Destroy Volumes 2 & 3, with more rare, unreleased, and live gems, as well as re-releases of their two full length albums.
