It’s been a year now that this bunch of lads emerging from the group CARVING(ska-punk),have graced stages of all sizes, leaving each time, the same indelible mark on the eardrum. CARVING already have an impressive 1500 dates, 2 albums(M10 et WAGRAM), and several impressive warm-up sessions behind them (Mass Hysteria, Marcel et son orchestre, Keziah Jones….) A desire to change , a more rock’n’roll approach, a more diverse public…. The birth of SKIP THE USE (electr-rock) : a raw energy, garnished with fragility, a dynamic voice infused with softness, intense sounds entwined with subtlety.A dose of rock mixed with a sprinkle of pop, punk and ska in a deep philosophical discussion, and yet still there’s more...... Some Artic Monkeys, Block Party and The Hives, but all said and done SKIP THE USE are really just SKIP THE USE and noone else. Recently having received the public’s award during the ‘Starting Rock’ fesival (‘new talents’ festival in the Hauts Seine) and also winning ‘Rock in stock’, they will be opening our festival the 2nd August in front of Nashville Pussy, The Exploited and Mass Hysteria… They recently won "optimus alive 2008", and so they go to lisbonne in front of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, THE HIVES, BOB DYLAN etc...IF there’s one place where SKIP THE USE stands out it is of course on stage. It’s a date !!!!
