Release Date:26th January 2009: 'POSABLE FLOTSAM' on DUMB TERMINAL (dt003).
Tracks: A: 1. Posable Flotsam B: 2. Epitaxy 3. Minority Transporter.
Following on from the Auto Beam ep released last year on Mighty Robot Recordings, english electric is delighted to present the next release, 'posable flotsam' on dumb terminal (dt003).
Side A:posable flotsam starts the EP with a beautiful synth line which sounds like a long-lost epic film score, leading into an arpeggiated cosmiche sea of sultry synth rushes and dirty beats.with lush analogue pads, moody arps and crispy beats.
Side B: epitaxy evolves the english electric sound to a more upfront, intricately programmed beast, whilst minority transporter takes a different, takes a different tack and cruises into an alternate universe, spiked with sick acidlines and distortion-laden guitars for an interplanetary acid excursion.
Posable Flotsam will be Distributed by Blackhole/ boomkat so should be in your local record shop by the end of the month. further details to follow.

Auto Beam ep Reviewed in DJMAG '...it's rare to stumble across a record by an artist you've never heard before. occasionally it still happens and English Electric is new to me, so props to Mighty Robot for releasing ‘DRM’. The title track features a crisp yet pulsing Italo groove, but it’s the epic Vangelis-style synth bluster of ‘Giorgio & Jim’ and ‘Monarch’ that make this an essential release. 4 out of 5 stars.
