DJ Mixtine

DJ MIXTINE
As far back as she can remember, DJ Mixtine has been creating mixes (even dubbing cassette mixtapes in junior high). Surrounded by music all her life (her mother was a piano teacher), she first found her creative rhythm outlet as a dancer. Years later, she has acquired skills from from A-list DJs like Shortee and Faust, Mr. Choc, DJ Hidea and DJ Hapa. She has had residencies at Barcopa in Santa Monica and Crash Mansion downtown, and been a guest DJ at bars and lounges all around the LA area. Her specialty is in her range of music, crossing genres from hip-hop, R&B, old school and '80s to alternative and rock. She also teaches private lessons at Scratch Academy LA. Tirelessly honing her skills in mixing, scratching and beat-juggling, her love for music and its power to move people is what keeps her inspired. As long as there's good beat out there, she'll aspire to find creative ways to bring music and people on the floor together, and to give ladies with skills a good name.
