Elder Wilson

I am Columbia's premier radio announcer. I've served the community for over 21 years. Gospel music has remained a passion since the late 70's. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA is where my biblical roots began. I've always took interest in a variety of genres, but Gospel has sustained my time. This foundation is what has always fueled the drive and love for the power of Gospel Broadcasting. Initially in 1985, I started out just reading announcements and the local weather forecast for KOPN. I am currently the Assistant Music Director at KOPN with Steve Jarrett. Through my laid back free-style Live broadcasting program, and the originator of the weekly "Spiritual Vitamin" and "The Christian Calendar", I am also well known throughout the surrounding communities as a dedicated husband to his wife Sarah of 20 years, an Associate Minister of Faith Walk Ministries, and a member of Gospel Choir. Master of Ceremonies for Bishop H.D. Longs 27-year appreciation service. I provided music for the Women of Purpose International Local Chapter banquet. I was the presenter for Coleman Broadcasting awards in Kansas City, MO. Home Healthcare worker of 22 years and an successful entrepreneur with his wife since 1993. My wife and I are parents to a 26 year-old son and a 4 year-old daughter. These are just a few of my characteristics that add to my unique personality and profile in the music profession.
