About Me
I'm a guitarpicker slim hailin' from southern Finland. Roots music lover. I just hang out, and mess around with local cats. MAXWELL ST. MIKE & PAPA DOUBLE is one of my bands. High octane blues band, with one of the toughest rhythm sections (Köpi Toivanen & Petri Loikala) in whole Finland, and that ain't lie! a Real Deal shuffle beat machine with dangerous style. and I have a project with couple my friends, we call it LO-FI-HI (www.myspace.com/lofihiband). It's a boogie kind of thing. Sometimes it's electric stuff and sometimes acoustic, depends from the mood =). and I play in a band called Mr. Catfish (www.myspace.com/mrcatfishband). Sometimes I also do gigs with other bands too or BY MYSELF. If someone needs my help for a gig or a record, I'm happy to help them out!-------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------And lil bit from the past... I was about 5 years old when I started to listen my dad's records...Chuck Berry, Killer, Lil Richard etc etc. And year later we got cd player. I remember one special cd what we got. I used to listen it all the time. Music was raw and mean. I didn't understand what they were singing but I knew that this is it! It was Hurriganes: Roadrunner. I could say it changed my life. Next big thing came when I was about 8. I was watching tv and there was a commercial where black man was singing, again I couldn't understand what but it had same feel like rock'n'roll, but there was something lil bit different too. I immediately knew that this is my thing! And who was it? John Lee Hooker. After since blues has got ahold of me, and I've been feelin' dizzy.------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------------I've been lucky to meet and get to know with great blues musicians, and share some thoughts and feelings about music, and the whole atmosphere around the blues. And of course to play with them too.
