About Me

The recordings featured on this website are more or less 'snapshots' of the original music i produced which focusses rather on certain set-ups than on musical pieces of specified duration.

I've got the hi-fi high and the lights down low:
On one channel you hear a broken cd-player desperately trying to play a Johnny Cash-cd - while on the other one live-feed from vintage videogames is undergoing several treatments.
In a company of strangers:
The original material is a bunch of 79 pre-recorded, similar sounding short tracks which i put on a single cd-rom. This cd is then played back by a cd-player in shuffle and repeat mode - creating an endless stream of randomly re-assembled sound snippets.
W nocym z alkoholem sprzedaje wredna jedza:
Here several pictures of a 24/7-shop selling inter alia alcoholic beverages in Warsaw are repeatedly interpreted as musical data resulting in continuous sonic structures of varying density.

Idziemy na grzyby, stary!:
This is my personal interpretation of Reed Ghazala's anti-theory. Admittedly, not that inventive but I really had a blast circuit bending and besides it sounds quite psychedelic.

Warum Leute, die ihre Ausführungen mit 'warum' beginnen, in der Regel nichts zu erklären haben:
Fuzzy soundtracks for fuzzy photos. Sounds recorded using my digicam's audio comment function. Only minimal processing applied. This track has also been released as a full-length cdr: a number of these recordings have been individually wrapped and put in public places, accompanied with a note that asks the listener to spread further copies.
In The Land Of Lounge Lizards:
All samples originate from "the freesound project" . Furthermore, the piece's "score" is also derived from that website: starting with a random pick, i selected the least similar sound from the "similar sounds"-list to determine how to continue.
not on this site:
Grand Entrances - Grand Escapes:
A self-recording record. Nearly blank in the beginning, it's the record player's needle that carves ever changing grooves into its surface. However, change might simply your illusion - as a result from listening to the same loops over and over again. Also played this at "die wüste lebt" in berlin (August 30th 2008) accompanying the record by circuit-bending a toy tape recorder.
Grey and other goos:
Ecophagous piece for radio, voice recorder, speakers and mic.
