DJ Flipsta

Oly Lucas was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. It wasn’t till he was eight years of age when he moved down to Sydney Australia to reside with his aunty.
Having moved down to Australia, throughout his early childhood years, had he had a passion for Hip Hop. Incessantly listening to both mainstream and underground Hip Hop - to artists such as Wu-tang clan, Eminem, Bow Wow, Snoop Dogg and Jagged Edge. In addition to, listening to Rhythm and Blues and Old Skool. It was not long after till he discovered the musical art form of deejaying and gained an interest to the distinctive, captivating music and sounds that could be produced.
At the age of 17, he was then exposed to a DJ who mastered in Old Skool and Funk (DJ Edo) which he was enthralled by his seamless techniques, scratches and his ability to hype up a crowd. It was then Oly was influenced to become a DJ himself.
Not till early 2007, was he able to promote for NXT LVL, some of the most influential and highly recognized DJ’s within Sydney’s urban scene, and their events. Having promoted for such events like supreme, sexy back, vertigo, vanity, knew would be a good opportunity for him to know and learn from the best.
