With prophecy after prophecy spoken over southern Louisiana, it is no wonder that there are so many men and women of God longing to be in God..s presence. Fitting right into this category is James Boyd. He was born and raised south of New Orleans, in Houma, LA to Jim and Angela Boyd. He is blessed to have come from a large family. Coming from a large family required many sacrifices. Nonetheless, James and his family have continued to be blessings to all those around them.
James encountered God as a young child and would often pray right along with his mother, an awesome prayer warrior for the kingdom. As a teenager, James found his voice, so to speak, and here started the heart of a worshipper. He started singing on the worship team at his local church at this time. Several trials and years later James started writing songs in his quiet time. This was a learning experience, an experience where he would learn to break out of his box. The more he would break out of his box, the closer he would get to the Father. The closer he would get to the Father, the more of Him he would want. Now with several songs written and unsure of what to do with them, James was approached to record them. With a little bit of sweat, the songs were recorded. During this process, God started to stir James up like never before. God was wanting more and more of James. James.. outlook changed. It was never really about him to begin with, but now everything just screamed, ..It..s all about You, God!!!!... You are the reason I live and breath and have a voice to sing to You. I was created to worship and adore You!..
James desires for everything about him to be a reflection of who He is so other people can know that there is a God who truly loves them. A God who is just waiting to flood them with His presence, hold them, squeeze them, and whisper His dreams for there life in their ears. He wants everything that he does to be worship to God, not just the songs that He gives him. He wants to be seeking His face truly as fine and precious treasure. Also, he knows that God..s grace is sufficient, and He is faithful.
Presently, James is preparing to record a another album and is very excited about was God has in store. He is married to a beautiful girl named Raynee and has two beautiful children, Blake (3 years old) and Julie (1 year old). They are members of The Freedom Center in Houma and believe that ..We are the Lord..s Generation.., and now is the time to make some noise. No more ..playing church.., it is time to step up to the plate and be who God has created us to be. He has called us to worship Him and Him alone and He is coming back very soon!
