Encouraged to participate in "partytime"entertainment competition in Trinidad,Surgee won Best Own Composition.Surgee's notoriety grew quickly and he was soon known for his unique sounds and thought provoking lyrics. When you hear Surgee, you hear the sound of the tenor pan ramajin in your ear.Surgee Ranking is better known as Rawle the Trinidadian native spent his childhood under the skies of Santa Cruz Hills,a lush,tropical,mountainous area also known for its many natural springs. It was the beautiful surrounding and the great love of his mother,Brenda,that inspired his original sound from this early age.
