Real Rock Entertainment

About Me

The heart of Real Rock Entertainment is artist development; finding that something special about a band and fostering it, as well as helping the band to grow as a band AND as a business. We do not just simply concentrate on booking and myspace as there are too many aspects of the business that a band needs to pay attention to - IF - they are really serious about what they are doing and want to grow as a band. If you just want help booking, contact a booking agency.
In addition, Real Rock, as its names implies, only deals with rock / punk / alternative / metal bands.
We're also currently looking for other people in the biz and other businesses who offer services to indie / unsigned bands for a new indie network. If you are interested, let us know!
The owner of Real Rock, Dani, is now working with DiverseCity Records, a major record label in Maryland. To learn more about DCR, click on their logo to the left.

Some good quotes from local bands:

"There was a time when rock n roll was fun, was an escape, was a spectacle. Lately it has become boring and predictable. Real rock n roll doesn't come in a safe and convenient package..." (Strip City Sinners) _________________________________________________ We believe rock and roll can change the world. Even if it's only for one hour. One hour that you listen to our record. Or one hour we destroy a stage.

We believe rock and roll is about bringing people together. About fucking passion. About losing yourself, going mad, together. It's about friends. It's about enemies. It's about you.

We believe that a rock concert should be a thing of madness, and a thing of fucking beauty. We always, always, leave everything we have on stage. You should DEMAND that of every band. We demand it of ourselves. We NEVER let you down. We always make it special, like your first time. Like it could be the last.

We believe a rock record should be made with every ounce of passion, crafted with every shred of skill, to make it, to ALLOW it to be something that moves people. Like we have been moved by great records.

We beleive that our fans shold be REVERED, appreciated, thanked, loved. You are everything to us. You are the reason. And you make it possible. And worthwile.

And we believe rock and roll can change the world. (Robin Black) _________________________________________________ "If you can't sit back and smile through life, what's the point?" (Riverden) _________________________________________________ "I don't care who you are, you shouldn't be on stage if you're not willing to let loose and cut a little rug. So if you're feeling a little nervous about dancing, take a good look at the stage, make a little eye-contact, and when Mikey nods to you, bust it." (Mikey, Charlie 6th Avenue) _________________________________________________
