Hey, my name's Alex. I've been playing guitar since I was 12. That gives me about 7 years so far. I actually played mostly electric until I came to college. I got my Taylor over the summer, so that kinda gave a little more incentive to play acoustic stuff. As fas as my style goes, acoustically what I'm playing these days has really only developed since the summer '07. I realized that everyone plays guitar and that I ought to do something to make me stand out. I saw some videos of Trace Bundy and was like, "Dude I've gotta learn to play like that. This stuff is amazing." So since then I've adopted a lot of his techniques along with stuff you see Kaki King and Andy McKee play as well. Outside of them, there are very few people who play with all kinds of weird two handed tapping, percussive elements, etc. So I basically try to keep the material fresh and not boring generic acoustic stuff that everyone else plays.
