I am the co-founder to one of Nashville’s most versatile music production companies, One Staj Music Group. One Staj Music was started in 2003. Fellow founder, Jonathan Winstead and I, started the company to aid solo artists, groups and bands achieve whatever musical sound they desired, as well as incorporate our music expertise in the mix. As a matter of fact, it was our expertise that attracted the attention of artist’s, bands and industry personnel. From folk to R&B, rock to gospel and everywhere in between, we’ve never turned away any genre of music and don’t plan to now or in the future. We’ve coined the phrase, “Unifying Music To One Stage”! We’ve developed a formula between music and vocals that‘s unmatched. Knowing that you can’t have great musical arrangements with lack-luster lyrics and vocal delivery, we’ve dedicated our production styles to make sure all are on the same scale.Vocal production and arrangements are my area of expertise. Arranging vocals is something I do in my sleep, seriously! I grew up listening to Marvin Gaye, the king of harmonizing. When I was young and listening to Marvin, I asked my dad how he made his voice sound like there were several Marvin’s singing at the same time. Well, my dad explained it the best way he could to make me understand, “It’s a machine that he puts up to his mouth and sings in.” Me being young, my next question was, “How much are they?” and “Can you buy me one?” Little did I know, several years down the line, I’d own that machine, a microphone and a mixing console, otherwise known as a studio. As our clientele grew, our musical creativity expanded. We continue to work with artists that have only their voice in the beginning, but leave with a fully produced, high-quality, radio-ready project. Along with vocal production, I also aid artists with song-writing. Music is not just a talent; it’s a gift and a passion that can’t die. It’s just a matter of time before my skills are displayed on a major level and the presence, of One Staj Music Group are felt all over the world as a supreme production company!Along with music, I am also an actor, model and men’s wedding ring designer. I travel the country with Motivations Inc., a drama group that visits middle schools, high schools, after-school programs and churches to spread the message of abstinence and drug awareness. We’re working on taking the message abroad to Africa and Europe. I also act in commercials. I’ve played principal roles for national, regional and local commercials for Ford Motor Company, Exxon Mobile Oil, Honda Motors, Time Life and CMT, just to name a few. I’ve modeled in print ads for the Nashville Bride magazine, Brunswick Boats and Fiesta Grills as well as modeled for area clothing boutiques. As far as designing rings, when my wife and I went shopping for my wedding band, I noticed that the majority of the selections looked the exact same. On top of the small variety, the prices seemed to be too high for the rings. I then decided to design my own ring. I sketched some ideas on paper and handed them off to a jeweler my mother knew. Since then, I’ve been getting compliments and inquires about where I purchased my ring. It’s a great feeling to be able to sat I designed it. I’d like to get them showcased in a few jewelry stores, but for now, I’m just spreading the word and coming up with new designs. Anyone interested in checking them out, hit me up.
