Born in Carlow, Ireland, Paul began singing professionally 16 years ago. He started out as a keyboard player with bands in his home town before concentrating on singing. He had vocal training with the renowned Dr. Veronica Dunne in the College of Music Dublin and with Patrick Zuk in The Leinster School of Music. His early stage performances include lead roles in The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, The Music Man, Fiddler on The Roof, The Merry Widow and My Fair Lady. He's made numerous tv and radio appearances and several recordings, including an album of show and movie songs titled 'Follow me up to Broadway' and an album of Irish favourites 'A Song for Ireland'. He was part of the "1st version" of The Irish Tenors with whom he performed on many occasions.
Paul has sung in "The Burlington Irish Cabaret" in Dublin for the past 10 years. The show plays to full houses from May-Oct every year. He regularly tours the USA with the star of that show, comedian Noel V Ginnity. The show is a mixture of Irish music, song, comedy and Irish dancing and plays in venues throughout North America. He has also performed in Wales, Italy, Scotland and Portugal.
Other career highlights include singing the Irish National Anthem on 11 occasions in Croke Park for the All Ireland Football/Hurling finals and the International rules series versus Australia.
Paul's wife Maria is a professional Violinist and they have an 9 year old daughter Caoimhe (Queeva).
