I am a very ordinary, Irish, country girl. I ran wild through the fields as a child, but wastamed somewhat by the nuns at a convent school. I married in my twenties and reared threechildren, two daughters and a son. I have been interested in the mystical side of life sinceI was a young child only I didn't know what that was at the time. I am also a very practicaldown to earth person and it is a delight to me now to realise that the mystics are indeedthe most practical of all. After all, we are not going to be here forever. I becameinterested in yoga after leaving school, having been introduced to it by my father who wasin turn introduced to it by a monk from a local monastery. I have been teaching yoga now forover ten years but I still regard myself as a beginning student. The more the practice opensup for me, the more I realise how little I know. Through the considerable patience anddedication of a wonderful teacher whom I encountered a number of years ago, I am now in theprocess of returning to the wild child that I was. Life is good. For all its ups and downs,it is still an amazing adventure.

Life verses the life situation.

Here goes my first attempt at posting a blog. My primary interest in life is to get to the root of what it means to live. For many years, I confused life with what happens during life, a classic mista...
