About Me

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, a true 'Southern Belle' to my heart!LOL...wife and mother of two wonderful children. I enjoy reading, writing, and creating. Along with being a licensed Cosmetologist,I am currently working on receiving my bachelor's degree in business. In addition to that, I am the author of "Sidney's Saddest Sunday," a short children'story about a six-year old little girl who is the product of divorced parents. Sidney takes readers from a positive Friday morning through a few unexpected happenings...that eventually leads to her Saddest Sunday! I wrote Sidney's Saddest Sunday for a much needed audience. I feel that children will relate to her challenges as well as her responses. My second book is now out and available for purchase! My new illustrator, Wesley Whitsett and I are very eager to present the newly heartfelt illustrations for "The Shadow in Sidney's Room." In this particular story, Sidney is back with another dilemma...she's afraid of sleeping in her own room! The book is loaded with great illustrations, playful text, and meaningful messages. Each book is uniquely challenging within itself, however, I think the more I write the more I connect with the craft. Having said that, "The Shadow in Sidney's Room" signifies my growth in literacy."Henry Meets His Match" is the third book within the series. It's about the bully, Henry, from the first book... And yes, it's a football book people! Boys and girls will thoroughly enjoy this wonderful read!As adults, parents, and educators we have to encourage and push reading among children. If you are looking for a positive gift for a child...consider a BOOK! PLACE A BOOK IN A CHILD'S HANDS...it promotes literacy!

My Interests

I am an avid reader and I find it imperative for children to start reading at an early age. However, I feel that there aren't enough books for minority children depicting families culturally. My goal is to create positive stories that capture young children for many years to come. My books consist of playful text, vivid illustrations, and meaningful messages.
