About Me

Ok…the shortishly long version until I figure out what else to say here. I'm a geek. Not just your traditional technology geek (although I am that too), but I'm pretty much a geek about everything I do. I'm a geek about cooking, wine, music…most things. If I invest myself in something, I try to own it. I'm sure it puts some off, but eventually you'll figure out that it means you can count on me.

Ok, enough of the corn-ball crap even if it's true. Everyone wants to know what kind of person you are through this, so what do I think most people think of me? Lots of people say I'm silly. I am, I'll admit it. I try to take everything in stride and rarely do I get my feathers ruffled. I'm generally calm in a crisis and cool under pressure. I like to have a good time. I'm usually smiling and laughing. Some people say that they think I'm smart. I suppose standardized testing might agree, but I wouldn't boast. If there's anything I've learned, it's that there's always someone smarter. What I am is a fast learner. I'm also inventive. With those two things, I fake smart pretty well. Some people say I'm a smart-ass. Hell yes, I'm a smart-ass. I can't help it, sarcasm is just some key chunk of my brain. Listen long enough and you'll probably hear something horrible come out of my mouth. It's never my intention to hurt anyone's feelings though. I could blame that on something like Asperger's , but it's probably just poor judgement on my part. Some people say I'm strange. I could blame that on Asperger's too. I am shy if I'm in an unfamiliar situation until I can get my finger on the pluse of who people are. Anyone who knows me will be thinking, "shy? nooooo, I don't believe that." But it's true. I am a fast learner though. I catch on quick. If I seem quiet or strange, give me at least 5 minutes before deciding I'm stuck up.

So, let the comments begin…everyone who knows me, fill in all the blanks and anyone who doesn't send me a message or post a comment if ya like.

My Interests

technology, cooking, music, art, literature, making useless lists of my interests

I'd like to meet:

People who'd like Jim. here

Music:

I'll make a list of this crap later. I like lots of stuff and I have some pretty eclectic musical tastes. It surprises me even.

Movies:

When it comes to movies, I don't generally grade that hard. I typically like funny or scary and stay away from emotional stuff because I don't like how I cry.

Television:

Similar to movies, I like funny more than anything else, but there are some dramas I can get hooked on. I'll list it later.

Books:

I used to read a lot when I was younger. I like to read, but these days it seems like I only read technical stuff. When I figure out how to squeeze more hours into the day, or how to get by without sleeping, then I'll read more.

Heroes:

They're people too.
