Billy started leading worship in 1990, right out of college. Back then Christiandom didn't demand bands. They were satisfied with simplicity. Billy played his guitar and led worship by himself until several years later. He added a drummer (Joe McArthur) first and then a bass player (Shawn Skeen) and then Cindy joined in with vocals in 2001. Sometime around the year 2000 Billy began having vocal trouble which turned out to be a neurological condition called hyper-disphonia. There's really no cure for this condition. So Cindy began singing more of the lead vocals over time. Though Cindy sings most of the songs, Billy is still the person giving direction to the worship time and, of course, he writes most of the songs the band plays. A couple of years ago Kevin Peters became the new drummer. He also runs his own studio and is absolutely gifted at both. You can visit his site at: www.glassjarstudio.com. Brady Redwine or Josh Walker play bass, and now we often travel with an electric player - Chris Grissom.Billy began song writing in the late 1990's. He's written several well known songs including: "Break Our Hearts", "Goodness and Mercy", "You Are My King (Amazing Love)", "Sing to the King", "I Have a River", "Die the Death", "You Are God Alone (not a god)", "You Are Welcome Here" and "Welcome to the Cross".Our band has more to offer now than ever before. Billy's writing is pointed, theological, emotional, convicting, biblical, rich. Cindy has strong vocals that match the tone of Billy's songs and the band is incredibly gifted and full of energy - not to mention that all their hearts are focused on the Father. We are excited about how the Lord is using us at this time in our ministry. We're understanding more and more what it means to be worship leaders - to protect each service from entertainment, to call on the name of the Lord, to direct each heart towards the Father and to scatter the enemy with our praises so that the Word can fall .. hearts. We are grateful that the Lord has continued to open doors and allow us to use our gifts for His glory. For photos of our band, more ministry info/history, and for a list of CDs available visit our website: www.billyfoote.com< a href="http://www.theglassjarstudio.com">

Influences: When people ask Billy, "who influenced you the most in the area of worship leading?" Billy always says, "you wouldn't know him. His name is David Guion and he's the most incredible, humble worship leader I know. He leads full time at Alamo City Christian Fellowship in San Antonio, TX where I am privileged to be under his leadership." David Guion was Billy's mentor before Billy ever started traveling. Billy has gleaned a lot of wisdom from David over the years. As far as Billy's song writing is concerned he would probably say David Wilcox influences him the most. Wilcox never waistes a word and his tunes are thought provoking and inspiring.
